Tamiya now makes a Hetzer as well. One is on my wants list after trying to deal with the Eduard one.

Tamiya's Hetzer is Italeri reebox, so as the Eduard offering. It is a nice kit.

Tiger I is the coolest thou :)

The Academy Hetzer isn't too bad either. I have built it some years ago over a weekend when I was ill. One of my fastest builds ever and it shows ;). I added Friuls for that Prague Hetzer.

Cheers Rob

I have the Academy as well. Right after I got it is when Dragon released their 'new parts' kits and Tamiya released their new tool. Unlike Tamiya, Academy has the early and late versions.

Mea culpa, I had no idea I was thinking about this one. Thank you for clarification Carl.

It's an easy mistake to make with Tamiya being the Japanese distributor for Italeri and re-boxing many of their kits.

E-25 trumpeter. But that is not the point , basically same thing as Hetzer. The point is that Hetzers are easy to assemble and joy to paint. :)

When you want to do some funky German scheme an open pallet is a joy. Much agreed!

Desmond,

I presume you will have fun with any of those kits.  However Tamiya, by in large, are smooth builds.  Enjoy the new medium.  I became better at planes when I learned armor.  Enjoy!
