BlrwestSiR
Tamiya now makes a Hetzer as well. One is on my wants list after trying to deal with the Eduard one.
1to1scale
Tamiya armor are pretty easy, I am just finishing up the Marder, and I won 2nd in Armor at a local show with my Tiger.

Tamiya's Hetzer is Italeri reebox, so as the Eduard offering. It is a nice kit. Tiger I is the coolest thou
BlrwestSiR
Actually Tamiya did a new tool Hetzer about 4-5 years ago. It's quite a step up from the much older Italeri one. https://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/tamiya/tam35285.html The Eduard Hetzer was their own kit too and included a full interior but I found it incredibly fiddly to build.
Martinnfb
Mea culpa, I had no idea I was thinking about this one. Thank you for clarification Carl.
DocRob
The Academy Hetzer isn't too bad either. I have built it some years ago over a weekend when I was ill. One of my fastest builds ever and it shows . I added Friuls for that Prague Hetzer. Cheers Rob
[CAT]CplSlade
I have the Academy as well. Right after I got it is when Dragon released their 'new parts' kits and Tamiya released their new tool. Unlike Tamiya, Academy has the early and late versions.

It's an easy mistake to make with Tamiya being the Japanese distributor for Italeri and re-boxing many of their kits.
Sir Desmond Glazebrook
The hetzer is getting some love. I just studied the the Italeri parts and instructions. Martyn provides a good case.

The point is that Hetzers are easy to assemble and joy to paint. When you want to do some funky German scheme an open pallet is a joy. Much agreed!
SapperSix
Desmond, I presume you will have fun with any of those kits. However Tamiya, by in large, are smooth builds. Enjoy the new medium. I became better at planes when I learned armor. Enjoy!
