Wingco57 Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Rowdy, IIRC the aircraft involved was factoryfresh or at least quite new, so I would keep the weathering light. The contrast as it is now may be a bit too stark. 2

Thereby I assume that there was no RLM 75 mottling on it by looking at the pics I have. Many thanks for your input Cees! 3
Wingco57 Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 That I do not know, but I have read the story regarding the shooting down of five Lancasters in one sorty by Werner Streib. I think your best bet would be to look at as many pics as possible showing machines in roughly the same timespan. And of course you can never have it perfect but a glimpse of how it might have looked is a good start. IIRC Jeroen has some books on the Heinkel 219. 2
Rowdy Posted October 9, 2020 Author Posted October 9, 2020 Thanks Cees, I have a several as well, the V8 (one frame before the V9-Streib’s plane) had 4 blades and the same FUG installation on the nose... that’s why I consider to make it 4 bladed keep you posted! 3
