Wingco57
Rowdy, IIRC the aircraft involved was factoryfresh or at least quite new, so I would keep the weathering light. The contrast as it is now may be a bit too stark.

Thereby I assume that there was no RLM 75 mottling on it by looking at the pics I have. Many thanks for your input Cees!
Wingco57
That I do not know, but I have read the story regarding the shooting down of five Lancasters in one sorty by Werner Streib. I think your best bet would be to look at as many pics as possible showing machines in roughly the same timespan. And of course you can never have it perfect but a glimpse of how it might have looked is a good start. IIRC Jeroen has some books on the Heinkel 219.
Rowdy
Thanks Cees, I have a several as well, the V8 (one frame before the V9-Streib’s plane) had 4 blades and the same FUG installation on the nose... that’s why I consider to make it 4 bladed keep you posted!

I've got most of the fuselage together, both engines, and part of the main wing. Sort of looks like the one at the Udvar Hazy centre. No paint though. 1
