PeteF Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Finished except for antennas and rear view mirrors. Excellent kit, first time building a resin kit, first armor kit I've done. Models a 1959 Ferret that we purchased and is under mechanical restoration in Texas. 7 1
HubertB Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Absolutely gorgeous build and finish ! ! Hubert 3
PeteF Posted December 8, 2020 Author Posted December 8, 2020 Link to WIP thread. So much of it was fitting small pieces that it was hard to document it meaningfully. Much different than an aircraft model in that the large assemblies were pre made and all the time was in attaching things that were mostly complete but of which there were a zillion fiddly ones. 4
tupeman Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 A good job and seeing the interior driving this armored car with the steering wheel in this position has to be a challenge. CHEERS 3
PeteF Posted January 10, 2021 Author Posted January 10, 2021 Jey Leno just did a segment about his. You can see the driving position. His was built in the same batch of 225 Ferrets as ours. 4

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted September 13, 2021 Administrators Posted September 13, 2021 Pete, being that you’re in Arizona and this is in Texas, could you just not fit a real 1919? They’re certainly out there.. Awesome job, BTW, and good to see you building 2

The 1911 mounts are impossible to get because they were all removed and trashed when they were replaced by GPMGs.

For that money, I’d have a 34, a 42, or an MG3, even though they’re still active duty all over the world. 1
