Spitfire Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Looking good, this is the kit that got me back into modelling in the 80's and I still haven't built one, and I have three in the loft, plus a BII conversion kit. Cheers Dennis 3
JohnB Posted January 16, 2021 Author Posted January 16, 2021 Thanks Dennis. It's a very nice kit although the cowlings have some difficulties. 4
JohnB Posted January 16, 2021 Author Posted January 16, 2021 Painting, except for some touch up and weathering, done. 6 1
Bomber_County Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Wow the first release was 1975........46 years ago..........and I haven’t built one either........... 3
Bomber_County Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Very nice John, your airbrush work is always immaculate, never knew until today that the Mk X or a few of them, had a Martin mid upper turret and the location was completely in a location...... 3

Thanks Phil. I'll overspray the upper wings with clear gloss before adding the roundels. I prefer to attach decals over a gloss finish to minimize silvering. After all the decals are on I'll spray it with a clear flat then do some exhaust stains and weathering. 3 1

JohnB Posted February 19, 2021 Author Posted February 19, 2021 Wouldn't you know it. As soon as I finish my old Tamiya Lanc HK does this. LOL That's okay though, the Hasegawa kit is a good kit and I enjoyed the build. 2 2

Would be a great addition for the Tamiya 1/32 "D"s. 1
