  1. Rob, believe it or not that's with a dark brown wash, even brighter before that! I'll just live with it, typically I'm only real anal retentive on Luftwaffe projects!
  2. OK, decided to retrieve this project from the shelf of doom. Didn't think to take pictures until the fuselage was closed up. doh! Anyway, hopefully you can see enough to get the general idea. I don't really like Mr. Color Interior Green, looks more like Chromate Green to me but it is what it is at this point. The seat belts are Finemolds Nano Aviation.
  3. Looking good, Rob, great stuff!
  4. Rob, The Me 410 is one of my favorites but I haven't pulled the trigger on the HPH kit. Resin doesn't intimidate me, the price does! Unless you're in a real hurry you have to think that Revell, HKM, Fly or Trumpeter will do an injection molded 410 in the not too distant future. I've got enough to build that I can wait and see what happens,
  5. Just a few "teaser" pics of a recently completed project. This was an attempt to address some of the shortcomings of the much maligned Trumpeter Friedrich. I had a couple of Aries 109F conversion sets that were rendered useless when Hasegawa released their Friedrich so I figured I'd put them to use on the Trumpy kit. Several other items were addressed as well, hopefully this model will be appearing in a publication later this year where I'll have a full run down of the modifications performed.Markings are a combination of Montex masks and Kagero decals, paint is Mr. Hobby. For those of you who wonder why us 109 nuts build so many, this paint scheme is your answer, just a lot of fun to do! Thanks for looking! Mike
  6. Seems like years since anything rolled off my work bench but here's Pacific Coast Models' 1/32 Ta 152C. Not my best effort, but at least it's done! For a limited run kit the fit was pretty good. Overall level of detail was good, the landing gear and wheel bays were a little lacking. Looking back in retrospect I wish I would have modified the kit to accept some G-Factor landing gear, this would have been a big improvement. The finish is hypothetical based on a JG 301 report that reported two 152C's on strength at the end of April. Mostly OOB, I added brass tubes for the wing mounted MG 151s and put on some Hasegawa landing flaps. Paint as always is the incomparable Mr. Hobby. Thanks for looking! Mike
  7. Beautiful, love all the work in the gear bays!
  8. I'd recommend Focke-Wulf Fw 190A/F - Aero Detail 6. http://www.amazon.com/Focke-Wulf-Fw-190A-English-Japanese/dp/4499226031
  9. Ralph, I've said it before but when I grow up I want to build models like you. I'm at a loss for superlatives!
  10. I'm not sure if the arming panel for the bomb was always present on the G-10 but I suspect most aircraft would have it. Late war fighters flew a considerable amount of "Jabo" missions. Not sure what brackets you're referring to, I'll need to take a look at my set.
  11. Seems like a relatively easy mod, scribe a couple lines for the where the wingtips would fold?
  12. Really nice work, Rick! Love all the attention to detail in the cockpit area.
  13. Great stuff! Those exhausts look great, I'm lazy and just buy the resin ones!
  14. Another option: "White 17" http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hungarian-Aero-Decals-1-32-German-MESSERSCHMITT-Bf-109G-6-Fighter-/361166737593?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item54173710b9
  15. Nice axles, did they come with the kit?
  16. That is just way frikkin' cool! Excellent!
