  1. All the cool guys drive black Coyote Mustangs! Looks great, Martin!
  2. Fw 190A-8 for sure, the 109G-10 probably too early (G-14 was introduced in the spring of '44) and too late for the 110D (operated in the 1942 time frame).
  3. OK, looks like we've got enough interest to give this a go. Let me iron out some rules and let's go with a June 6th kick-off date to get everyone a little time to get their projects together.
  4. Absolutely superb. The next time I hear someone say this kit can't be built into a top notch model I'll direct them to this build.
  5. Kent, We'll most likely kick off next month and go to the end of the year.
  6. Yes, this would be Northwestern European theater in mid '44 only.
  7. Putting out feelers for interest in a D-Day 75th Anniversary GB. Our last few GBs that we've attempted have been more or less miserable failures. If we can get enough interest, this is one I'd like to do. I know real life infringes on our build time but I'm just asking for a legitimate effort. If we get enough interest we'll do it. Just asking if you chime in with a "yes", that you actually start a project and show some WIP. This GB would be open to all subjects, AFV, aircraft and dioramas.
  8. You know me with WIP shots, I try, but.... I did put a few up in the Wurger party thread though. I'm not happy with these pics either. That photo backdrop didn't have enough sky in it so the planes sits too low on the backdrop. Time to have some new backdrops made.
  9. Steve, the copyright was 2002 so I imagine that's pretty close to when they were printed. Worked great.
  10. Here's one I've been plugging away on for a few months, This was a restoration project. This was originally Robert Olejnik's "White 7". It suffered some significant damage in the move from Japan so I figured I'd strip it down and start from scratch since it was painted incorrectly and I was never completely happy with it. Done as a Bf 109F-2 of 7./JG 54 piloted by Oblt. Max-Helmuth Ostermann in September 1941. Decals: Aeromaster Paint: Mr. Color CMK Resin Wheels EagleParts Spinner Trumpeter Propeller Blades I also used some landing gear struts from a 21st CT kit since the originals were snapped off and broken during the move.
  11. I always prefer to do a GB that includes aircraft and AFVs. Lots of great subject material for this one.
  12. Well, it's finally done. This will not go down in history as my most enjoyable build. A few rough spots and areas that should be better but I kind of reached the point where it was time to finish it up and move on to the next project. The only add-ons are the new BarracudaCast wheels (excellent) , Quickboost gun set and a Montex resin rudder.
  13. I'm supposedly the "GB Coordinator". The last few GBs we've tried to run have been, to put it bluntly, flops. Of course since then we've had a good influx of new members so I'm willing to give it another go. I'd like enough participation to keep it interesting and maybe we can even line up a prize or two. This June marks the the 75th anniversary of Overlord/D-Day so that might be an interesting subject to cover. Throw out some ideas and we'll see what we can come up with.
  14. Gorgeous! And welcome to LSM!
  15. P-38 in the collection at Chino, just sayin'....
  16. Very nice, John! This kit takes a lot of flak but builds up into a good looking P-40.
  17. Camaro parked next to you....there goes the neighborhood! Looking good, Martin!
  18. Outstanding!
  19. Hannants has the box art and some build pictures up on their website. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/RV3874
