  1. I would like to find out why Maxim's posts are no longer visible, for as far as I can see it's not possible to delete your own posts on this Forum...
  2. No, from the original draw when Carl won his own item, three members missed out. Maxim has also disappeared from other sites as well in the past week. It appears he may have had an alias here or been previously registered with another name, as members were calling the member "Mnemonic" Maxim in this thread two years ago... Perhaps he will resurface again?
  3. Likewise... Still, it's better to give than to receive. S
  4. More than adequate Ern ('cept maybe for Mr.Impatient above) Only, after your lovely Assisant has pulled all those Rabbits out of the hat, don't go sawing her in half, OK?
  5. Merry Christmas to one and all... May you be blessed with Peace and Love, and granted some semblance of a sleep-in (unlike these two who woke me at 5am) Steve
  6. OK, my donation towards the LSM Christmas Raffle will be: A 1/32nd scale Hasegawa Fw190 D-9 kit; with Aires resin and photoetch cockpit set plus an EagleCals sheet of aftermarket decals. OR... A 1/12th scale Tamiya Yamaha Moto GP kit; with Studio 27 photoetch set, Tamiya fork upgrade set and Valentino Rossi decals. (I realise not everyone is into Luftwaffe subjects, and there are quite a few Bike Guys on the Site. Winner gets to choose between the two kit-and-extras options, provided the second option meets the requirements of the Raffle.) Also, please add me to the list of recipients for the Raffle. Steve
  7. No, if you're putting the nuts in you're going about it the wrong way. Stand by, I'll have a rummage...
  8. Raffle Donation We have no actual Bears here in Au, and the Koalas have Chlamydia. So we have to import our Bear Nuts...
  9. Ern... Is it too late to add to the list? I hope that won't upset the sophisticated Analytics and Algorithms you're surely going to be using.
  10. *Edited* I'll not turn someone else's build thread into a bunfight.
  11. It's fine, I'll manage. It's not like the HB B-24, and the Revell is the only game in town. I have plenty of the Hasegawa kits to tide me over until we see what Zoukei-Mura can do.
  12. *cough* Revell Bf109G-6 cowl and buelen issues *cough* Sorry, had something caught in my throat...
  13. That kit looks sweet. I missed the original Studio 27 kits the first time around, these might be worth a look. It would certainly save time and effort replicating some of those hidden details.
  14. It's a dilemma Jeff, knowing how long to hold and then when to let go. Dogs are so good at masking their pain. They put up with so much until it becomes seemingly overwhelming. This past July we had to ler go one of our Daughter's Cockers; she had an inoperable Brain Tumor at 14 and she slowly deteriorated over a few months. My eldest Daughter wanted to keep her as long as possible, she was really her Dog as they had bonded ever since the first car ride home as an 8 week old Puppy. I told her, as long as she's eating well and has mobility, keep her with us. I was there with both my Girls the day we all said goodbye. After that day passed, their other Cocker (my Avatar on this site actually) who was also 14 but different litter, just seemed to lose the will to live. She went from from a crazy, active nutcase to a sad and mopey little bag of bones overnight. I was over there one weekend in October helping trim her coat, and she just collapsed and started shivering like she'd gone into shock. She just gave up right then and there, we rushed her to the Vet but she also never came home that day. So Jeff, she will let you know when it's time. My Daughters coped well, my youngest especially as she had a really rough time when her Mother passed 3 years ago. But the house still feels empty when I'm over there. I used to walk them after mowing the lawn, Millie the crazy one would follow me from window to window barking at me to finish so we could go chase the neighbourhood Birds. I still look up occasionally expecting to see her sitting there...
  15. I prefer them to the Fujimi. The Aoshimas have full engine detail, both doors moulded separately and enough of the front chassis in there to be able to take the front off and do a naked version. I also intend to do this with the Tamiya CLK-GTR and a kitbash of the UT Models / Tamiya Porsche GT1 for the big three of the 1997 Endurance season. I realise the Fina Mclarens were the class of the field that year, even though Schneider and Mercedes claimed the title, but even so I believe the GT1 never looked as good as when in that Gulf livery.
  16. How's that BeeMax M6 look in the styrene Carl? Recently picked up an Aoshima McLaren long tail kit. Waited two decades for someone to do this Beauty justice...
  17. Just remember Ivan, before you kick her over each morning, be sure to call Emergency Services to warn them... the locals may think they're having another Earth Tremor!
  18. ...And to you and yours Ivan. Beware of cross traffic on your Southern journey... some bearded Kook is holding my Dogs to ransom to ensure safe passage. Jolly Saint Nick, my A*** !
  19. It serves a purpose for the modern Enthisiast. Mustangs are selling like hot cakes in this market; 2200 over the last three months, outstripping the local GM product family sedan. Roush has a dedicated tuning outlet now in Melbourne. The Australian Touring Car series will have Ford Mustangs competing for the first time in over 30 years. People are looking towards these unusual models to stand out from the crowd. Me, I'd have the rear seat out of that Green Meanie, throw on some slicks and be doing Track Days. That's a car for DRIVING!
  20. I hear you in that respect Ades. Our two cars have much in common despite the engine output and mode of aspiration... many of my Mazda's wiring bundles evem have "FoMoCo" stickers on them. It's a sweet and dynamic little chassis, that's tight and responsive when pushed hard. I'm lead to believe the Focus Head will also fit the Mazda motor, a simple mod that gains about 15 or so Kw at the top end. I did look at the Focus, but our market is sourced from Thailand production and the build quality on the one I tested was abysmal. Sadly, Mazda have announced there will be no more MPS / MazdaSpeed variant of the 3, which I think is a real shame. They can now get 135Kw from the MX5 two litre, 150 should be easily done with just an exhaust change and a Cobb or corksport intake, and still remain affordable for daily use.
