  1. Undecided about the asymmetrical aspect of the covers, or whether it's just a poorly defined render. I will say that given that they've considered how these covers will fit onto the wing; that it points towards an initial attempt at kit design, and not just a ploy to get Zoukei-Mura to move the chains on their version (which was my fervent hope!). However, it's way behind the Z/M CAD, where the render already actually looks like the parts we're going to get in their kit. Given the outspoken minority of KHM haters, the boorish "Not another "190" crowd, and the impending release of a possibly better Competitor's offering, not sure if this is the best allocation of resources going forward.
  2. The moulded-in recess in the wing at the rear of the gun bay is a little worrying. The cover sat on top of the wing surface and not embedded within; I can understand the rationale for doing it but it's not representative, and a real Bear to fix. Zoukie-Mura did this with their Ta-152 kit in 2010; I wouldn't expect them to repeat that error in their forthcoming Fw-190 releases, and a new Player really shouldn't be either On a positive note, at least the MG151's aren't handed like the ZM Tank. S
  3. For the Purists, quite probably. The limit in Qld is 30 years ( 'Classic' definition?), if it's under that age when imported it can't be driven until it's converted to RHD. So, he might have had it for 25 years, or might just prefer to sit on the right, who knows. I saw a fairly rough red mid-60's 'Stang at Robina last night still in LHD, ripe for resto. I think I'd leave the pedals where they were if given the choice. S
  4. Local Baby Boomer out having a little blast down here last Thursday morning. Only, the steering wheel appears to be on the wrong side!
  5. Really disappointed that it's only possible to 'Like' the previous post only once!
  6. Ern, I'll have a look through the stash tonight for something, it's 05:30 here and I'm off to work. Steve
  7. £110 sounds like the bill from a night out with Mr.Mayhew at the Bell & Jorrocks!
  8. How about something with a 'Nick' in the title? And I don't mean that Rugby Nutter from down in Kent either!
  9. Zoukei-Mura have announced that they will be releasing a D-9 variant in their forthcoming Fw-190 range; just when that will happen in the sequence is an unknown, as they're yet to show any actual plastic of the first kit, only CAD and a rough 3D print of the A-3 / A-4 versions. The Hasegawa kits were great for their time, but are somewhat basic and have a few issues. The fuselage width is a millimetre overscale at the firewall; this doesn't sound like much, but it means the cockpit width, canopy and rear deck are all innaccurate going down the spine towards the tail. This means the Hasaegawa canopy won't fit the newer Revell kit, aftermarket pits won't fit each other etc. Revell F-8 fuselage overlayed onto the Hasegawa at the rear... The Zoukei-Mura Ta-152 canopy fits the Revell kit, and it's cockpit is the correct dimensions and includes the armour plate and seat rails that no other 1/32nd scale features. So, I'm very much looking forward to their Fw family being released. S
  10. Who sacked Santa? Please, Ernest save Christmas!
  11. A good choice of the Eagle Ed cockpit... The cockpit in the Hasagawa '190 kits from memory have the rear bulkhead too far forward in an already cramped space, and lack the armour plate and rails beside the seat. To do the kit pit justice, would mean slicing off the rear bulkhead and building backwards, a lot of work when a drop-in pit is available aftermarket. S
  12. Dude, it's not this Site. It's you. A thread about helping people in need, has turned into one-upmanship and personal attacks. What is it that makes you so angry about helping others? Paul has plenty of help coming his way. Some others still have nothing, and don't know if Family members are dead or alive. And this is your response?
  13. This comment was completely unnecessary. Your point had already been made, without the need for the personal abuse.
  14. Thank you Jim for another superb review... Everything looks very logical, designed and executed in the Z/M style to which we've become accustomed. Can't wait until it's available. S
  15. Tamiya are a very responsible Company I'm sure that it's just that they don't want to be seen to be encouraging people to choke on their own vomit.
  16. "One Town's very like another, when your head's down over your pieces, Brother..." Although that's Bangkok. Just wear a Rugby jumper everywhere. They'll love ya!
  17. One for Ernie... An-124 just now here at Brisbane Airport, loading up after the other night's Taylor Swift concert. If only the Brisbane Public Transport system was so efficient! S
  18. Just wondering... Can others participate in the Grofacking with you, or is it best executed if you Grofack yourself?
  19. No, not at all Kais. Just mindful of the fact that I can come across as being a little obstinate sometimes, especially online where it's often easy to apply same to a post where none was intended. So far as other Zoukei Mura kits, their very nature whereby they include (often unnecessary) internal details means that they are more fiddly than the average offering. Although, the Ta was their second large scale kit, and their mould quality seems to have improved with each successive release.
