  1. Naw............... it's medicine...................
  2. Now THAT'S Funny !!!!! and most likely true !
  3. Give this a go Ron.................. and for the record, it is NEVER clean and dry like this, when you have to cage the brakes, usually rain, mud or snow dripping down your backside and the caging bolt is missing or it is so gummed up with mud and rust , a guy can't get it out of the holder....
  4. Yes, Ron that is what I was referring to, BUT ,Please .... this is YOUR model, and you build it as you see fit, I DO NOT want to come across as a 'rivet counter' or overly critical, what you are doing and building is nothing short of fabulous, and is spot on, I absolutely love this project , and you are nailing it......
  5. wow, lookin good ,Ron..... make sure on your spring brake pots , you nip off the 'caging rod', or it's possible that you may still have no brakes at all on the trailer
  6. HOLY !!!! Even we don't get that kind of ice here, you must've got a LOT of freezing rain.............. I have never seen anything quite like that..... I suppose the next thing will be local flooding..... I wonder what all the 'reptiles' are doing to stay ahead of this?
  7. I was kind of hoping you would 3D print a bunch, I would buy some from you, glad you have a plan, I am looking forward to seeing this come together. The Mo'luminum stuff sure is nice eh? I like his stuff, I sure hope he casts the Holmes wrecker body.... that would be cool....
  8. Carl, when I had mine put in at VGH in Vancouver back in 2006 they went in thru my right groin, and inserted the stent and when they were finished I had to have a bag about a foot around, that I'm sure was filled with lead shot to hold the area well closed so I didn't bleed out, was there for about 1/2 hr or so....... and you , you lucky dog got an 'attractive intern' ? HUH.....
  9. Sure, Ron, this is the type of spring brake chamber we have on ALL axles, except for the steering axle, so here in B.C. all drive axles on the tractor, and all the axles on the trailer and jeep and booster would have these brake chambers.... rather than the single ones depicted on your trailer, those would be good for active braking only and there would be nothing to hold the trailer.
  10. Wow, nice catch and excellent repair......I notice that on the brake pots there are no spring brakes? For parking.... I'm sure you know that and there is a plan afoot... Ron, your scratch building skills are incredibly good, I LOVE what you did to the suspension.... the low bed itself is spot on, bud... and looks WAY better with a shorter tractor....
  11. I bet there has been a time or two when Joy would have been happy to "sell" a Clunk..
  12. Litre, apparently we went to the 'metric' system many years ago as our 'Mother Country" ( England) was ALL metric.... LOL!! I very roughly convert it to a gallon and it would be about just under 5 bucks a gallon give or take....
  13. Should be a piece of cake, Harv, it was for me..... just the HEAVY weight they put on your groin when they are done to prevent any bleed issues, man that thing was heavy.... when you are done, you will fell like a million bucks my friend. Keep us posted , bud....
  14. Whiskey, John..... it's natures own anti-freeze !
  15. Rob, I have to agree with Phil and Kai, this is a stunning build, and I, for one look forward to each update.......
  16. ouch... ours just went up again to $1.22 locally...... crooks..
  17. Did you get more snow as well, John? Rather rare for your neck of the woods isn't it?
  18. and with your gasoline nearing 4 bucks a gallon.............. welcome to Canada, my friend !
  19. That engine is pure eye candy, Bill, I love it... glad you are back......
