Ok............. once again, please excuse my blinding ignorance, but why is there such a hard on for 1/35 scale vs 1/32 ? IF by some silly chance 1/35 was all we had we would be happy............ I have been playing model stuff for a long time, and could never figure why 1/35 doesn't get the love 1/32 gets? Again, excuse my blissful ignorance, but inquiring minds want to know... , well, I'm just curious actually...

That is very cool, first hand info, is an outstanding thing to have access to..... the history of the modeled subject always makes it much more interesting, I have found , that sometimes, I start a model, then do a little research, and get lost in the searching, then the model takes a back seat as they say..... easy to get lost in research, so much fun............... I will sit beside Harv and watch this come together..... Harv... next round of popcorn is on me.... -

Carl, I have to concur with the rest of the guys, the 'b' option, although I am an old fuddy uddy, black wheel just don't do it for me, but if you paint the center gold , that will make it pop... the stock rims look very heavy and clunky, like they should be on a truck.... so 4 votes so far for option 'B'.. -
Ha ! That is really cool, excellent effects................ not over done, looks the part perfectly....

I will watch this with some new found interest in the subject..... I watched a show the other day and the guy was on the USS Texas, and then on the USS Olympia ( a cruiser , I know , but still ) and I found them VERY interesting....and very cool they are still around..... one day I hope to maybe see them for real, but in this world we find ourselves in, I'm afraid I don't hold out much hope.... so with that said, ( maybe I shouldn't have , but what the Hell eh?? ) I will watch you bring this together ,Gaz, and maybe even consider building something like this myself.... so , Press On my friend, I am sitting in the front row....... -

oh cool, had no idea....... -
You are dead on , Phil, and I think that was part of the issues with KB700 being such a dog, at first, plus I read they rushed her out to operations when she wasn't completely ready........

THAT is SPECTACULAR, Steve................. nothing like that here, just mountains with lots of snow on them............... sigh.............

I'm in too , Ian.......... Cathy's uncle was a Navigator on RCAF Lanc's.... -
Holy, I had no idea about all that..... crazy to think after all these years there is so little information.... makes for interesting and lively conversation and fun to research, I'm sure there is something out there somewhere to clear all of it up.............. gain excuse my ignorance, but have you tried the German museums, and archives ? I'm sue you have, but still hard to get past that fact that this was an iconic bomber, that little info survived..... oh ... duh, I guess a World War with mega bombing and fires didn't help ( I ran into that with my research for my lost Grand father ) , again though, still an intriguing subject, and open to interpretation and speculation, that is part of what makes this hobby so much fun.... thanks for that Steve, again , I had no idea.... Happy New Year from the snowy Kootenays, Bud....

Hooo Ray !!! Agreed 110% Phil, well stated !

Steve............. excuse my blind ignorance, on this particular bird, but was the Death Head on all Squadron aircraft or just on the one particular bird? So the question is , is this the aircraft you are building?
-
Yeah, according to their ORB, February was their first Lanc op, otherwise it was the venerable Halifax, my quote above came directly from the ORB....

All are excellent, the Tiger jumps at me, it is especially nice, and is that Evan Mackie's Tiffe ? Some how I think I missed that one....
