Why has nobody told us about this one... Canadians??
Jeff replied to GazzaS's topic in Modelling Discussion
We're Canadians, we don't get offended....................................... we get even..............................D.Dooright, Nell, and Snydley Whiplash.......... old school heroes !! -
That sounds just like here.....

PAY that ticket soon , Carl, because if Toronto is ANYTHING like this little town, those parking tickets mature like savings bonds.... used to........ before you know it, you'll have to sell the car to pay it out.....

Well, that sounds encouraging at least, I was hoping you would be able to access some sort of result, as this is a VERY cool and ambitious project, that should be able to continue to fruition if at all possible, within financial reason of course...... most interesting Fidd, and looking forward to more.....

Ron, I'm not sure about the engine conversion , as I would tend to believe the Cummins and Detroit are two vastly different beasts, I think this will take some serious research to figure out.... is there not a resin version of these engines somewhere?? I thought I may have seen them... I will look to see where they might be accessed in kit form....... VERY interesting project, and fantastic work on the Cummins ! -
Oh , oh................. that sounds ominous ..................... I hope all is ok..............

I have to agree with you , Tim, as our weather here in southern British Columbia was the nicest one that I can remember in years.... we had 'some' snow, but not like usual, a fair bit of rain but nothing over whelming, it was a very mild and quite pleasant one to be sure... as you guys know I workd for highways maintenance for 38 years and have 10's of thousands of highway plow miles under my belt, in some of the worst and most challenging conditions, and winter is NOT my most favorite season, but this winter was a cake walk....most of the snow is gone down low and the boys are sweeping the sand off the highways now................... so we will see what summer brings.....

Carl, are you going to leave the seat belts like that?? I sure hope so, instead of neatly folded on the seat ............. they look way more realistic like you have them as for a fighter, the guy driving has to get in and get going, no time to be unfolding neatly set set seat belts... they look really good like that much more real... -

I feel your pain... they say it will be 1.70/L here this summer.... I guess they have to make up for all this lock down stuff where no one is really driving.... ( or working?)
-
I guess they use any excuse, because we ALL know that they are going broke................. NOT

SO.......................................... because Texas 'froze' , the Canadian gas companies hiked our gas prices.... went from $1.17/L to $1.29/L just the other day, I needed fuel for my truck and low and behold I got 3 LESS litres for $8.00 MORE...................... yup, that's fair..... thieving bastards..... sorry for the rant, but I didn't say something, the top of my head would explode ..... I wish I was King of the world.... I would make one or two changes ......
