  1. This is going into the museum at CFB Comox or the BC Aviation Museum in Victoria ? Wow , Steve this is absolute museum quality.............
  2. oh ok, that's kind of what I thought, that's great news, did I read that Friul is not making tracks any longer? or am I incorrect on that, ?
  3. Tracks look good, but are they difficult to deal with or are they good? I think they look great, but how much work were they?
  4. Depends on what kind of animal..........................
  5. You will like them, I'm confident in that.......... let us know what you think.....
  6. John, because all the guys ahead of me used all the good words, I will use something different to convey my thoughts of your Lancaster build.......... 10/10 !!!!!!
  7. I agree with Harv, spectacular result.............. the guy standing with the stick looks like James Mason from the Blue Max movie............ amazing attention to the finest details...... I love it
  8. Whoa ! 10 bucks for a Testor's rattle can !?? What is this world coming to... wow.... that's a bit pricey , isn't it?
  9. That will look cool, our trucks were very 'utilitarian', and all work trucks, nothing fancy, an owner operator is the guy who gets the cool stuff.... and GazzS is correct, your PE work is fabulous !
  10. I have two of those in my stash, and they are actually a nice kit, except for the chrome wheels.... lol
  11. Mark, the fuel tanks we had on our trucks be it the old school ones or the new ones are usually black, the fuels caps were brass and our battery boxes on our Western Stars, were the same as you have made for your truck, .... the the case was black with the 'diamond plate ' part, aluminum.....
  12. Those fuel tanks are PERFECT !! I recall the old Ford Louisville 9000 series had a fuel tank similar to those with the integral step, and they were ok for getting in, but for our snow plows, getting out could be a test when they got full of snow and got slippery, more than one guy found himself sitting flat on his ass on the highway wondering how he got there.............
  13. The parachute packs he was talking about were known as 'seat packs', that is why some seats look very deep, they were made to fit the seat packs, if you notice some early Spitfire pilots scrambling to their aircraft with their parachutes down by their lower back sides, those will be seat packs...
  14. If every part needs to be 'massaged' , your skills in doing so, are superb, my friend, it looks perfect to my old eyes.... I think this is coming together masterfully...............
  15. Congratulations , Jerry ! Precious Cargo now ! Handsome little dude...

    Squadron

I guess for you guys it was a kind of 'local' business? Not far away, is what I mean, not like from here.... still though, it is too bad, after all these years...

    Squadron

was this recent.? Kind of sad.... a long run business down the pan..........
  18. I'm probably very late to this party, but I heard or read, rather, that Squadron Mail Order or as some of us old guys remember Squadron Sop has closed it's doors? It used to be my absolute go to mail order model shop, until the shipping costs went out of this world, but it was always a cool place to get a catalog and pour over it for hours, I have a good copy of their catalog from 1974 ! Is this old news or am I finally near the front o the bus here....?
  19. Beautiful, John............ those wing roundels look like the settled down very nicely.....
