  1. Details, Carl, details.... at the speed you work, you could have the whole thing built and set up before Sue gets home from work !And with a little luck she won't even notice
  2. I feel the same when you guys chat about some stuff..... and as a 38 year veteran of the highways, just ask away, always here to put my 2 penny in from what little bit I know and have worked with, FAR from an expert, but willing to share anything I have...
  3. Locally Pacific Western used to fly the 737-200 out of YCG , and the mountains are very close, so it was to the very far end of the runway, throttles though the gate, and at rotation nearly straight up.............. it was a thrilling ride, lots of noise and lots of smoke, just the way it should be !
  4. Pictures................. or it isn't gonna happen..................
  5. My 16 year old niece cannot read handwriting................. just what ARE they reaching in school these days??
  6. Again............... I always learn something.... very interesting............ thanks Rob...
  7. The 'like' I put on your post is not a 'like' but an acknowledgement of your loss , I am sorry to hear of your friend Brad, very sad, and twice as bad for the ones he left behind..... yes, we do need to stay in touch with the friends and important ones.... my condolences... Jeff
  8. Cool, but a heart breaker.....never will there be another 747... I well remember when the first one flew, it was big news back then.................
  9. I hope to start on it soon.... I hope....
  10. WOW ! ............ that is really nicely done............... I really like that ...
  11. OUTSTANDING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Actually, I had 3 BIG ones and trimmed it down to 3 small ones.... 5 Kw 925's , 3 Pete 359's, Mack R 600, Pete Cabover KW 100, Freighliner cab over, 5 frames, a number of Cummins 350's, and even an 8 V 71 complete with the air intakes, and found the valve covers... 925 frames, complete with the 5 & 4 even still had the " A " Boxes, and shift linkages ! I can actually try to do some rebuilds..... may not need to get a new 925..... LOTS of rims and tires, all Alcoas though... 2 sets of Hendrickson suspensions, and a Camel Back spring pack ! Also a bunch of rear ends, all bagged , now it will be easier to search out parts...... I'm sure you will hear from Jamie, he is a good guy and is very good to deal with....
  13. So, Ron..................your plight with wheels and tires, set me to thinking.................. I know, that CAN be dangerous...BUT..... like you, I have been at this model thing for a VERY long time, so much so, I have and am giving some of my stash to some friends for their kids, but that aside, I have multiple old busted up truck kits, and all are in the 'parts' box, so Cathy says why don't we put all like parts in a 'baggie' of sorts, like all wheels and tires, in one, engines and the like in another.... at first I thought, naw, that's dumb................. now I'm not so sure, if I do this I certainly will be able to find whet I want, in not time, rather than dumping my 'parts' box all over the floor......because sometimes a guy needs just one specific part that may have been gobbled up by the carpet monster............. and with that said, I may even be able to cobble another truck together with all the bits I have ....... hhhmmm..... I'm sure I will find stuff I never knew I had too ! And I also think the old AMT Cummins engine is light years ahead of the Revell Cummins with the molded in starter??
  14. It sure is uncomfortable for sure, a real curse sometimes, I have been here all my life and it is the cedar pollen that gets me the most, my Tahoe is red, but some days I go out to it, and it is full yellow, so that is how bad it can get here sometimes, and then I pay the price.....
  15. Rob, you were lucky, here in B.C. it was brutal, and it nearly killed me..... I have never been so stuffed up, sneezing, it was terrible, and some days still is... usually slowed by now.... but not this year.......
  16. GREAT ! I never thought of that !!! , and I am soon to hit the sack, I suppose I will lay awake most of the night trying to figure that quandary out...... laying awake figuring , also with a mask on, can you get enough air to sneeze 3 or 4 times??? In all fairness, it is a good question....
  17. https://phantomphacts.blogspot.com http://soyuyo.main.jp/f4/f4e-1.html#bottom I have had these in my fav's for a long while, maybe something here of interest??
  18. Lookin really good John, BUT have you ever seen a real Spitfire up close, ........... some of the panels don't fit worth a poop.... so maybe it wasn't far off accuracy wise... Love what your doing with this... can't wait for another update...
  19. 1894!? Wow that's cool, some history there Pal.... have you ever looked into the history of your house?? kind of rare for Canada I would say to have a house that old and still in use...... I bet the place has character.......
  20. That SUCKS, Carl ! we saw that on the news !!!..... glad everything survived and no lasting damage......
  21. Is that an air tank at the very back of the frame cross member on the back of that Volvo? Seems a vulnerable spot for a tank.... ?
  22. Some of that cab roll, could be due to air ride cabs? Some or most of the newer units here have air ride suspension air ride seats, and the cabs are on an air bag as well, and I have seen some of them really heal over on a sharp turn....nice ride though , compared to the old school Mack Camel back suspension OR the dreaded "Rubber Block" suspension and old school Bostrom spring seats ( I could never make those work worth a shit ) ..................
