  1. THIS is CRAZY good .....................................
  2. Not yet, the rigging intimidates me, although I really would love one ( and especially the triplane )................ I remember seeing the real deal at Hendon in 1990, and have always loved them....
  3. Took the words right out of me ! I wholeheartedly agree......
  4. This is an incredible amount of work................ so................ when you replace the '2's did you keep them in the order you removed them, as they don't look to be all the same shape............. that may be a test if they were randomly stuck back on the backing paper........ to find the right shape for the right spot? Or am I missing a detail I didn't see? Either way, you have patience beyond reproach ..................... this is going to be Museum quality no matter what............... I look forward to every update......
  5. I love it ! So here is the big question................ are you happy with it, do you like it, and would you recommend it? ( well 3 questions, but you know what I meant)
  6. Absolutely mesmerizing.......... this is so technical, and extremely interesting, not only model talents, but computer. math, and algebra talents as well, this is not just glue and a splash of paint................ MASTER CLASS !

  10. I'm afraid that's the best I can do, and all I have....it was about the flight from England to Oz, in the airplane the Southern Cross..... I had no idea there was a BUNCH of films by that name... huh.... learn something every day....
  11. The Southern Cross, I believe it was called, it was an Australian production and it was OUTSTANDING ! I saw it a LONG time ago.....
  12. YUP, that's the one ! I'm trying to find a copy of the movie, any ideas??
  13. Glue looks to be as expensive as the parts ! 27 bucks for .7 of an oz !? Holy...................
  14. Ok, thanks Carl, that is kind of what I was after..... so in essence it is still about the same , maybe a little more..... so most of my stuff would be considered low mileage then.... 68 Ford F 250 pick up 133,977 Miles, 93 Corvette 64,000 kms, 03 Corvette 80,000 kms, and my 19 Tahoe not a year old 12,400 kms..... I like to drive my iron, but don't want to 'wear it out', except maybe the Corvettes, don't want Cathy's new boy friend to have a new car when I'm dead ....
  15. I can't agree more, these look fabulous.............
  16. OK.................. thanks for posting this Carl................ I am curious, and here is my opportunity to ask..................... I remember back in the day, CAA and AAA ( the automobile associations for you young guys) used to put out an 'annual average mile year', meaning how many the average guy would drive his car in North America, meaning not a sales guy or farm guy, just the average family guy, and it seems to me that is used to be about 12,000 MILES a year, now of course here in the great White North we have to use KM's which should translate to about 20-25,000 per year for the average driver to put on his car............ does that still hold water or is it more, or much less, ? Because when , in the days gone by, a guy would sell his car, and it was used as a rough gauge for heavy use or a cream puff....... so what is the recommended average miles per year these days?
  17. Wait till they send you the BEER bill as well.....
