  1. Picked this up from EBAY . It was delivered today..... From HASEGAWA, one of their classic kits. Their 1/32 BF2C-1 5th Bomb Squadron (O8235). This boxing was released in 2014 according to Scalemates. All the parts are sealed in their bag and the box was still factory sealed. I'm very pleased. The decals look perfect. This kit appears to be molded in the same gray plastic Hasegawa uses today...not that ancient brittle stuff used in the P-12E that I purchased earlier. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hasegawa-08235-bf2c-1-5th-bomb-squadron--259124 Found this Picture of the Aircraft in a museum in Thailand...... Nice!
  2. More stufff....... From Hasegawa, their Mitsubishi J2M3 RAIDEN (Jack) type 21 (08882) in 1/32 scale. I built the Tamiya 1/48 kit back in the 80's and I have always liked the looks of this aircraft. Finally got this one from Plaza. From AOSHIMA , Their HONDA DREAM 50 '97 in 1/12 (06295).. I bought this thing as a companion piece for my "BIKER GIRL" figure I bought recently. I figured that this was an attractive yet "Girly" bike suitable for the figure.I may paint it to match the figure. Next, some aftermarket stuff: From Quickboost , their QB 48 036 B-339 Buffalo Engine 1/48 Scale. A replacement for the Tamiya Brewster Buffalo. Nice detail on this. It requires adding the push rods. From Gaspatch Models , a pair of resin Browning cal .30 fixed machine guns. These will replace the the kit guns for my Hasegawa 1/32 P-12E kit I picked up recently. These are amazing! From Airscale, a set of WW II USAAF instrument Dial Decals in 1/32. last, another 1/12 scale resin " Egg Girl" figure from Hasegawa. This time; No.06 "Amy McDonnell" (army girl)
  3. A great finish Rob! Well done!
  4. I can see in my case a intervention is warranted.......... Perhaps even medication🤔
  5. That's a nice kitty! I placed an order with Plaza last week and that kit was in the basket but it would have made my shipping too high so I went with fewer items. I think that's got to be about the nicest Tom cat out there from what I hear. Can't wait to see your build!
  6. That's what will happen to my collection after I shed this mortal coil.....unless I have the lifespan of an Galapagos tortoise😑 I'm thinking of that Tortoise ( not A Galapagos) that's been living on the Island of of St. Helena since 1837. Poor devil. I would think if someone were to break the communication barrier between animals and humans, this poor creature would be saying,- perhaps screaming- "for God's sake!".. "Kill me!") Anyway, we must face reality and realize our projects may never reach fruition. Well done Martin for grasping reality.. In my case I imagine that the unrealistic supposition of possible future projects gives me hope for the future. It's fun......As Blondie ( Deborah Harry) said "Dreaming is Free". Anyway.......... We'll see!😀
  7. I think Lone Star is out of Business....... I read something about the owner " liquidating assets".
  8. Well, this one was supposed to be included yesterday but the postal service.....Well , the less said..... From Hasegawa, their Boeing P-12E in 1/32. This thing has been around for decades, being first released in the 70's. According to Scalemates, my model is From 1975 or thereabouts. The parts are still sealed in the bag and the decals look OK , but.......... Nice box art I think. Anyway I built this around 1980 . the last boxing was in the 2000's but those sell for a lot more. Anyway I'll have fun with this one. I like aircraft of this era😀 Oh, I just added this.....Got my set of "Golden Maple" 10/0 paint brushes....
  9. Some items today.....Some other items I was expecting, ....but...Well, our postal service is sending one item on a tour of eastern U S states.; New Jersey to Pennsylvania ,then West Virginia, then back to Pennsylvania . The other is stuck in California after coming from Japan. Well anyway...... First ; A bunch of Tamiya. Pro. II paint brushes. Six in all. These I saw on videos of a figure painter on YouTube. They look very nice. I got 3 Ultra fine , 2 very fine, and one fine. These have Kolinskiy sable bristles . they sell on Plaza Japan for about half the price on Amazon. I also got a set of five Nicpro 3/0 brushes off Amazon. These are cheaper brushes, but I've found they hold up well and I like the handles. Tamiya airbrush cleaner does not harm them. Next some decals in 1/32 : by Microscale and Yellow-Wings purchased on EBAY for an upcoming project, that Is being held up at the moment. A 1/32 Hasegawa P 12E......I built one back when Reagan was president. I emailed Microscale to get idea of the age of my set......I was told they Were made prior to 2001.. We'll see how that goes🤔 Next; three kits From Tamiya : Schwerer Zugkraftwagen 18t (Sd.Kfz.9) "FAMO" (35239) A great ,big, honking half tracked vehicle. It pulls tanks!! Toyota AB Phaeton (35338). A nice little kit. Has a driver in military uniform. I will do it up as a military version. Painted in the color Tamiya recommends for their Kurogane . WWI British Tank Mk.IV Male (30057) I wasn't happy with my first one.....will try again. Last? Oh well ,..Hell, it's another Hasegawa 1/12 resin "Egg Girl". . This time No.14 " Amy McDonnell " (bunny Girl). In a playboy bunny type outfit.
  10. Looks great. Well done Kevin!
  11. It seems crazy that the vendor should be the one issuing the refund when its our postal service that lost the package. I have received packages that were badly damaged delivered by our postal service.....All I got was an " Oh Well" from the carrier. Amazon? The same, but Amazon will issue the refund, at least. Just what, exactly "We Care" mean.....An empty statement at best.
  12. My brother got that one.. He Never built it. I Also built the dump truck.
  13. Jeez John! You finish them soo fast I can't keep up! Looks great!
  14. Got most , but two are still on the way😀 Then there's a new release expected this summer ....looks good!
  15. Some items today........ first, from Atlantis their new release of the old Old Monogram kit, the Mack Bulldog. Their MACK BULLDOG STAKE TRUCK (M2402) IN 1/24. I built the Monogram kit back in the late 70's Not a bad kit with good detail as I remember. I haven't opened the box yet to see how the molds have held up. Next; from Red Fox Studio , their Studio Quick Set Acrylic Instrument Panel-Yak-18 MAX (RFSQS32007). This is for the Trumpeter 1/32 Yak-18 Max kit I bought recently. I also got a set of Montex masks (SM32025) for this kit as well as a set of Eduard 1/32 Seatbelts Soviet Union WWII fighters (32875). All this stuff looks pretty nice, especially the Red Fox instrument panels. The Trumpy Yak should be a fun build. last; another Hasegawa resin figure kit.....An "Egg Girl" in 1/12 scale. This time; No.O2 "Amy McDonnell" (rider). As you can see She's halfway out of her protective riding outfit enjoying a beverage. I think I have most of these now and I have four that are ready for painting.
  16. Nice work Rob! I've been eyeing that kit on Plaza Japan for some time, but I was a little intimidated after going over the instructions I downloaded from scalemates. It certainly looks like a beautiful kit! Are the spokes metal? Using liquid mask to hold the spokes temporarily,... A great idea.
  17. Thanks for the info....I've been looking at their Website.. some amazing stuff😀 https://properplane.com/news
  18. Spectacular! Beautiful model and pictures!
  19. My nearest LHS is about 30 minutes away...It's a small family-owned shop that I've been going to on and off since the 80's. Unfortunately their prices are a little high so I buy mostly online. Nice haul Carl! I've used some of the Alclad line but I have never bought them by the truckload.😀
  20. Very strange.....I think your item may be lost. It may have never actually entered customs. Since you posted this I've had about a dozen items go through customs with no mishaps. Very, very, strange. Like I said earlier, my 10 day wait was because my item arrived during Christmas time and some delay could be expected.
  21. I'm waiting for Andy's big 1/16 half track to come out but will probably purchase a hard to find Tamiya kit if I can find it. I haven't seen any of their Renault UE kits anywhere.
