  1. Congrats! Well done Kevin!
  2. Ok....something you probably won't see here often,...but it is large scale (1/12). Well, I've accumulated a bunch of these " Egg Girl" things from Hasegawa.....so I decided to actually build one. So, here she is, Claire Frost in her flight suit. I like the MR Color paints....this is my first time using these.....good paint. I especially like the Mr Color semi gloss clear. This build went well, despite the decals needing a little extra attention and lots of Walther's Solvaset to get them settled. Anyway, a little diversion. My next project will be the DAS WERK panzer III in 1/16 . Something big coming😀
  3. Looks like a great airbrush😀 I hope you enjoy your new purchase!
  4. Very cool....Will be watching😀
  5. Looks great Rob😀 Do the polished white metal parts eventually tarnish again?
  6. A number of items including: A 1/35 RSO OST from Miniart.... Had to get this one. Looks tiny and complex. What to expect from Miniart (Manypart)😀 Loads of masking tape from Tamiya A pliers and metal nipper from Godhand. A "Tweezer-action" scissors and a Conical file from Tamiya. From Dspiae a kind of double-ended scraper tool.....They call it a " Broad edge broach". It has a flat chisel blade on one end and, as shown, a double edge point at the other. This should be useful for eliminating the seams on the resin figures I have. These are good products, and I hope people find this post useful😀
  7. Whohooo! Is perhaps understatement😀 I hope you share your build of this magnificent Duck!
  8. Nice! Is the zimmerit resin?
  9. 'Been following that as well....good stuff!
  10. How is that I love Kit Duck?
  11. Duck's on the way!😀
  12. How about field grey for the tubing...used on some German equipment. Greenish ....Might look good.😀
  13. Those are both very nice kits! I have the STug and the big half track without the gun.....I could use some some purging myself but really don't know how...I don't have a LHS and I don't have an EBAY account. Perhaps if someone here needs something?😀 I have Recently become more aware about how quickly things can get out of hand in regards to having a stash. I won't be getting anything more as far as models. Supplies and tools needed only.. for awhile. I have seen a few Websites state "We buy Collections". has anyone tried this....?
  14. I saw this on The Modeling News ......A pair of HS 129's by Takom Wings to be released. https://www.themodellingnews.com/2025/06/takom-wings-new-pair-of-48th-scale-hs.html#more
  15. Another beautiful finish! Well done.
  16. Sounds great. The origin of the name Belugawhaleman is my own self-deprecating description of my receding hairline, large forehead and Pale complexion that, in combination, give me a somewhat Beluga appearance. And yes, I did see a story about that aquarium on Fox news. Thanks Rob Martin HAS been busy😀
  17. Thanks Rob. I was thinking about soldering the parts together but I wasn't sure how to hold the parts in position while doing so. I was wondering if a soldering paste would be useful. I use to use a solder paste when fabricating parts for my steam hobby. Normally I was using high temp silver solder, but that would be unsuitable for PE. Most likely I'm going to use CA.....the Flexy 5 stuff.
  18. I wasn't going to post this thing...but will. It was meant to be included in my earlier post...with these items. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/26-soo-what-did-you-just-get/page/332/#findComment-258798 Anyway, from Dspiae it's their AT-RS Photo etched Rolling Set. Until now I really had no use for it, however after going over the instructions for My 1/16 Das Werk 250/1 half track I saw a step that requires shaping some PE parts I remembered this thing. I never used one of these things before.. Never needed to. Using it seems pretty straightforward. You can see the parts in question in the included screenshot of the instuctions. They are the parts listed as TP. Hope this post is useful to someone. One question, however; Should the PE parts be annealed before using this tool?
  19. I have the single seat version, I'm interested in how these things build up. 😀
  20. I downloaded the instructions for this kit..and I must say it looks like an amazing kit. Wow! It's kind of expensive but I may look into getting one. I saw it on Hobbyeasy for $99.00 USD but the shipping would be a killerl https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/26-soo-what-did-you-just-get/page/332/#findComment-258798
  21. I've been adding to my Dspiae collection lately with these recent arrivals... I added their ..... AT-CR Aluminum Alloy Stepped Wire Roller AT-PST Parallel Scribing Tool. I'm impressed by this thing! Solid all metal construction. AT-MA Multi-Angle Sanding Slider This thing is pretty slick! AT-R Craft Tools Rack. This thing is built Like a tank. Very solid. It's described as a "Low Pressure Forging" Anyway, very nice. Anyway, I've managed to get back to the bench and I have been trying to get it organized. I have been mostly living at my mother's home...Her eyesight is failing and she needs constant care. My bench is at my home, which I have been visiting infrequently. Last week I was able to do some work on an "Egg Girl" resin kit. I hope to get back there this weekend and perhaps finish up that Tamiya Semovente. Meanwhile, I'll be mostly buying tools and Supplies. I did order a 1/35 RSO kit by Miniart that will be coming soon. I'm really impressed by the quality of these Dspiae items and I would recommend them. I hope you find this post useful. Thanks; Paul
  22. Nice work so far. Looks like a very detailed kit😀
  23. Typical.. I had a recent package "Processing in Palatine " ( 40 min from me) for four days after being reported as departing there four days earlier.
