  1. Nice work! The Sally a handsome aircraft.
  2. Looking great Rob! I really like your decal choice!
  3. Two items today........ From HobbyBoss their Soviet T-26 light infantry tank mod. 1935 (82496) In 1/35. I've been interested in getting one of these for a while but thinking that it was a small kit and it was a little over-priced put me off.I found one at a reasonable price and I was glad to see, upon opening the box, that it has more parts than I thought, including workable tracks....but I intend to use the Friulmodel tracks I bought instead. Looks like a nice kit and I like the subject. I would like to see Takom produce one in 1/16 however, to go with their panzer 1 kits. Also today, another box of Friuls; their ATL-35 "Hetzer" late. These I'll use on my Tamiya hetzer or the Takom Swiss G 13 I bought recently.
  4. Yes, but right now I have a situation to deal with. As I stated earlier, I am not living at home right now. My mother , age 90, suffered injuries from a fall. She had multiple fractures to her left humerus and wrist. I have been living at her home providing care for her. I am away from my bench and will be for the foreseeable future. I may be able to return to my home and bench when my sister arrives from Georgia to relieve me for a while. I may at that time do a quick build. The Takom SMK, for example, looks like it can be built quickly. The most time-consuming part being the tracks. The set of friuls I bought for this kit would make .the build even quicker. So it's Possible that a weekend build of mine might show up on this forum. Believe me, I'd like to do a build but I just can't manage it right now.
  5. So far I have 12 sets with one more set coming in the mail on monday... Then, the Friul-a-thon will come to a pause.
  6. This stuff came since Friday; First, 5 sets of Friulmodel tracks; ATL-32 Valentine ATL-96 Su-76 ATL-184 SMK ATL-75 T-35 tank ATL-45 T-26 tank Also some Starbond Accelerator. Last; from Tamiya their German Tank Destroyer Marder III (35248)
  7. Rob, it looks like you're going to have a lot of work to do with those wheels! I'm sure they will be well worth the effort. Anyway, I'll be looking forward to your build and following every post!
  8. Looks great John!. I really like the Corsair in camouflage! I must someday get a big Tamiya Corsair, but I have a big walk-in closet full of models to build first. John, how about building the big Tamiya Zero next? I've got that one and I'd really like to have someone skilled as you are, show me how it's done!
  9. I would probably accidentally inhale those tiny things and never know it!
  10. I have to admit, I like the looks of the Hurricane in silver doped finish.
  11. Cool subject and a great build so far! I have to admit, I know nothing about the Mandalorian series....never watched it, but I'm interested Nonetheless!
  12. Thanks Harv. I plan to build another one in Brazilian markings, a machine gun variant with the Berliet turret. This will be done by using some extra parts I had on hand....I've already made the machine gun and turret mount.
  13. Got these today: From Friulmodel, their ATL-74 for the BT-7 tank. These BT-7 track links are tiny! I bought these for my Tamiya BT-42 I Bought recently. These Friul tracks are really great.....I've been picking up a lot of these things up lately..... A sort of undiagnosed mania, I guess, but I think they'll make some kits in my stash more likely to be built!
  14. Got this today: Ordered off Amazon, I got this kit for much less than most online shops sell it for; Most sell it for $60.00 or more. The Brothers Sprue sell it for $67.00. I got it for $41.99 plus tax and with no shipping. Anyway, the kit is Tamiya's ; Finnish Army Assault Gun BT-42 (35318) in 1/35. I built the Tamiya BT-7 kit a while ago and it was a great build. An odd, Finnish, re-turreted version of a captured Soviet BT-7, the BT-42 was fitted with a WW I era British Howitzer ....the Finns adding a perforated muzzle-brake to it. Also today; more Friulmodel tracks. This time their ATL-60, for the Churchill Tank. Had them out of the box.....they look great!
  15. Sorry to hear of your troubles with the kit. I hate bad fitting kits! When a kit becomes a chore.....move on!
  16. Great detailing Rob. I like how you did the leather on the seats. Very nice.
