  2. I'd love to build these type of subjects...Rob, you're more than capable of Doing so....but gloss finishes on autos beyond my capabilities. Again, build WIP please!
  3. I think Jay Leno has one.and a video Yes, here's a video.....
  4. Do you have to display the engine? I've got a few.: T34s, SU 100, Stug, panzer III, in 1/16. ! The Stug and the Panzer III don't come with engines but the tanks were powered by V12 engines. In 1/35...Comet, T 55, panther, Jagdtiger, a couple of panzer IVs, Nashorn, Hummel, Also, a P-38, a Mosquito ....lots of possibilities!
  5. Wow! This is going to be a cool thread for sure! Will be watching.
  6. Got it from Andy's Hobby Headquarters..... At $ 119.00 USD I think it's a Good value for a 1/16 kit. https://andyshhq.com/products/border-models-1-35-bf003-focke-wulf-190a-6
  7. Also, perhaps, to use up WWII surplus Lend-lease paint.... They probably had gobs of it. No?
  8. Superb job on your P 38, Peter! Very nice.
  9. 'Got a Stug!.....A large, 1/16 Stug by Das Werk ! Yes, it's their StuG III Ausf. G early w/Winterketten in 1/16 (DW 16003). Well, my stash closet is about full now. Maybe a Gecko 1/16 panzer II and an early St. Chamond by Takom in the future but that's all for now. You know, not buying many more kits......will be difficult. 😗
  10. Same here, I had no idea things were that serious! I hope he recovers soon!
  11. I had a dreadful time with mine.....yours look good!
  12. It does look good...I'll have a look at that video!
  13. Still some room in my stash, but it's pretty full I'll get to some builds when I finish current project! It'll probably be a 1/16 build of something.
  14. Got this today....Not a big 1/16 scale behemoth kit, it's 1/35. From Tamiya, it's their Russian Heavy Tank JS-2 Model 1944 ChKZ (35289). Nice kit: link & length or "rubber" option for tracks, 2 figures, photo-etch, and four marking options. Coming to the end of my bucket list as far as purchases goes for now. One in the post, another I may buy in a couple weeks.
  15. I have many Iwata airbrushes.... Some over 20 years old. My most recent Iwatas are a Hi-Line HP-BH.....great for fine lines and a HP-C plus. Both are smooth and reliable. I have 4 Ecipses ...two are HP-CS the others are HP-BCS. The two HP-CS and one HP-BCS are 20+ years old, but when I returned to modeling, I refurbished them using new parts (needles, nozzle, packings,o-rings and the like.). They're like new now. The remaining HP-BCS I purchased because I couldn't find my other one at first....I've not used it yet. Yes, I like Iwata!
  16. Glad to hear you're feeling better Peter.
  17. And, she plays the Accordion!
  18. Outstanding NMF , Rob!
  19. Thanks. Yes, I watched the video last night....then looked up a lot of engine pics for this vehicle. The engines looked like they were dark grey in the pics. It seems like a lot of detail will be covered up when Finished however. Please note: Andy has re-released his video.... it's been revised. A part 2_of this video is forthcoming.
  20. Agreed ....the mausers bothered me at first, but You know, after looking at some mauser pictures....they Really don't look too bad!
  21. Well, my Das Werk Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf.D (DW 16005) in 1/16 came today. I wanted to get this thing since I first saw Andy's video featuring this kit. The kit does look pretty good with the exception of The Mauser Kar 98 rifles supplied..... they look a little funky...the grip area of the buttstock is off. It looks odd. Minor complaint but.....
  22. Well done on the f14 ....looks like a very nice build able kit....I've got some " loyalty rewards" points left-over at Tower Hobbies.I might get one. I remember building theTamiya 1/32 kit back in 1983....went off to College.... After my first semester my family Got rid of all my kits...threw them out ...WTF! Had to start again in '84 while Recovering from surgery!
  23. I really like the looks of the Walrus....you've done a great job! Your catapult ....Well, very impressive!
