  1. As I'm no professional reviewer, please accept this feeble attempt! The kit finally arrived in the mail, after spending some time in the Kiev post office, I'm sure there were reasons... This kit is of the Crew Escape Module and is multi-media in IM plastic, Resin moulded, 3D printed, 3D decals, Photo Etch and regular decals as well as a small piece of film for the bomb-sight. The research department had help from Mr. Vark himself, Jim Rotramel, so I'm quite sure the mistakes are minimal. The box came from Ukraine and had a little wear on one corner, but no damage to contents. The contents themselves were very well laid out and protected in typical Reskit style, with cardboard boxes with foam inserts (foam that can later be utilized in the weathering process...) Boxtop. Box measures ~30 x 23 x 6 inches and is of sturdy top opening design. With a Made in Ukraine and a nice little jab to the Orcs as well... I chuckled when I saw it! The Contents as you open the box Everything is bagged in small envelope style resealable bags, and the smaller parts are in the 2 cardboard boxes. Both with 2 layers of foam and 2 layers of parts... Well designed and thought out packaging for sure! Onto the kit: The after part of the cabin, with chines. As is evident the detail is crisp and excellent, and the openings are for cover that pop off in the ejection process, and the actual covers that go over the openings, they are included as PE parts. The underside of the same part, with positive rivets as appropriate on hidden surfaces not in the airstream. This is a 3D printed part but cast in resin. There are very very faint print lines, but I'm positive they'll disappear under a coat or 2 of paint. I love how they included the coax-cable and cannon plug for the upper UHF antenna! Cockpit section. Same thing, 3D printed but later cast in resin. I'm sure that speeds up the process, but they can print new as required. aft view of the cockpit section. Slightly blurry because I have a garbage phone and I'm not a photographer! But the quality is absolutely fantastic. there is also internal sidewall detail and the areas where cuts need to be made are super fine. Sidewall detail on Pilots side. Good detail on the other side as well. Aft bulkhead, cockpit aft bulkhead, Cockpit tub, detail from beneath the capsule, glare shield and so on. again, superb detailing. Doublers look fantastic, and will be amazing with a little paint on. Some of you superdetailers will be able to do fantastic stuff with this kit! they even printed the anti-flash curtains. Canopy transparencies are in injection moulded plastic and look crisp and clean with little to no distortion, and the 2 clamshell canopy pieces are evident as well. Seats are 3D printed and absolutely gorgeous. the harness detail is fine and look like proper 5 point harness, draped naturally. There are subtle differences in the seats too. Decals, Masks, 3D decals, film and PE. On the PE sheet there are options for open and closed canopy. They also included the little metal flaps that fold up to the canopy frame for anti-flash on the PE... Absolutely fantastic detail. 3D printed instrument decals are also superb, and will prevent me making a hash of the detail painting! Stand included! Instructions are also available in pdf from www.reskit.com.ua.The instructions very well detailed indeed, and allow for options of Canopy open or closed (they call it "Lantern", must be a translation issue,) and also for ejected or just removed, to allow for some panels installed or not. In my own personal opinion, this is one of the coolest kits to come out yet, only 2nd to the hPh B-52 cockpit in 32nd because of the sheer scope of material. This F-111 cockpit will certainly be easier to display! This kit does allow for us that love cockpits, but without the space I suppose, the ability to have at least parts of an F-111 in 32nd. It would make an awesome diorama as well, for those of you handy with those! Thanks to Reskit for accepting my money and sending this amazing kit! Cheers Harald
  2. Ohh so freaking tempted... but the wallet is just so slow in recovering!
  3. I picked up mine from my local peddler the other day, looks very nice, but typical Revell of Germany. if you'd like an "out of the box build review" Jen, of Jenesis designs and modelcraft over on the you tuber, she built it out of the box, with no paint, and she shows some minor pitfalls, also the video isn't horribly long. Cheers! Harald
  4. And FINALLY the box from Ukraine arrived! Sat for 2 weeks in the Kiev main post office... No worries though, arrived in 1 piece! This one I've been lusting for since it was released, and I'm impressed! This is a well-researched piece, and the details are amazing! The Reski 32nd F-111A Crew Escape Module! I'll throw up a quick review where they go!
  5. IVAN eat more oatmeal! (in russian accent)
  6. Dang that's some hail there... Nah, I'll take my -10C for a few more days...
  7. So, small victories. Just dryfit, but I couldn't help myself... Going to paint some subassemblies, and work on other bits and get seats and such finished. Enjoy!
  8. And now, and in color! I am impatiently awaiting the mail from Ukraine with my Reskit F-111A cockpit section!
  9. I'm a smidgen late to the call, but AK has a lacquer color as well in the real color air line... RC290. I just bought a jar myself... Needed insignia white for my Intruder!
  10. Yes! I'm a terrible reviewer! It's decent quality, but you can tell it is scaled up. some parts are clunky, but it comes together like a Sabre Mk.5 ish or F-86-30. There is a also a F-40 boxing. I got the second one because the first one came together fairly easily... I thought I'd build another! (also the older one was a casualty of too many moves...)
  11. Hey! I built it before, and I believe it's a pantagraph kit of the Academy 48th Sabre. It's a fairly straightforward build, but it has some minor fit issues. It's the first kit that Kinetic did in 32nd.
  12. I got one heck of a deal on the Hornet!! 99.99 canadian, still sealed. Needless to say, I got it! Now I need TWO decal sheets. But I don't think It'll be a canadian hornet...
  13. The A-6 is on the bench but then I said yes to overtime (gotta finance the habit) and the wife took a dive and ended up with a severe concussion... no glue-sniffing or noises for the time being!
  14. Ha! No! I want the Sabretooth tiger in the red tail band decals, but I don't know if I'll get that lucky!
  15. @BlrwestSiR good to know! I'm searching for some Canadian decals too. not easy to find for sure... I like the sabretooth tiger from 439 Sqn I believe...
  16. the fuel cap on the UH-1D was on the RH side, not the LH, and it sits in between the sliding door guides. Search for any UH-1D/H or Civvy Bell 205/212/412. It's the same for all of those.
  17. Oh I forgot to mention, I have a Kinetic F-86F on hold at my local purveyor of styrene, with the Golden Hawks stickers! Have built one before so I know what I'm getting. Now I just need to find some aftermarket for it!
  18. Nothing BIG, but I got a few 48th kits... Eduard Royal Class Spitfire Mk.IX, Airfix Chipmunk, CA Gannett (Wanted it for YEARS, after I stupidly sold it), and a Tamiya F-35! Being a Norgie (Norwegian for those who don't slang), both the Spit and F-35 come with options for the same 132nd Air Wing, RNoAF, so I'll likely do those! Cheers, Feels good getting back on filling the stash rather than thinning it!
  19. They are certainly lovely with everything out...
  20. In a conundrum.. Folded or straight wings? Anybody have thoughts on this? Model is quite large, and I can keep the wings "detachable"... Tough decision for sure. I really like the look with the boards cracked and full flaps....
  21. Obviously some weathering on the seats to come, as well as decals on seat and ip. Intakes need some work, then we slap together...
  22. Been quiet, but there is movement! No images as the ones I got were completely out of focus, but whatevs. Cockpit is soon done! just need decals on IP. Then the fuselage can be completed. Cheers H
