  1. John Completely agree and the right way to go. Keep 'em comin Peter
  2. Today lots of rain and pretty gusty as we're getting the tail end of Henri. Hopefully by late today it should be over. Keep 'em comin Peter
  3. Mike Thanks for the photo of your Vulcan which looks perfect and how you dealt with the sink marks and intakes. What I did find interesting on the builds that I've been following, is how differently everyone went about correcting these issues. Are you going to be doing the all white scheme as from the photograph, I can see a nice mottled effect on the wings? Keep 'em comin Peter
  4. Nice work on the cammo and AB work - looking mighty good. Keep 'em comin Peter
  5. Mike Looking forward to your build of the Roden Albatross D.1 and will be following all the way. Congratulations on your upcoming Vulcan commission build. I've followed four build threads so far and there are just a few areas that require some extra care, namely inside the intakes and the top of the delta wing which has a fair amount of sink marks. I don't have the kit so how bad the sink marks are is from what I've watched and no two kits seem to have the same amount. Still would be more then interested in following your build and thoughts on the kit. Keep 'em comin Peter
  6. Mark All those rivets would have driven me crazy - are you sure you don't have Rossie the Riveter hidden away and working for you ❓ Keep 'em comin Peter
  7. Oliver Amazing work and enjoying following your build as always. Even something as small as the landing gear gear being out of scale caught your eye and was replaced! Keep 'em comin Peter
  8. Kai Looking mighty sweet! Panels lines and matte clear coat look spot and and no silvering - awesome for sure. On my F4, I've finished the aircraft decals, almost all the panel lines are done as well and am about as close to your build stage as well. Keep 'em comin Peter
  9. John Nice work on cleaning up both wing tops. Surely off to a good start. Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Thanks Carl What a relief for sure Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. Hi Guys We surely dodge a bullet here on the island. Henri was first downgraded to a bad tropical storm around 2AM and then the storm track changed to NNE and out of Block Island and then into Rhode Island. Still some heavy rain in areas and some winds but nothing as predicted. Of course our luck was someones else's misfortune. Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. Kai Nice catch on the missile number error. Looking forward to the first pics of the flat varnish to see effect. Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. Ernie Nice progress and glad to see you have managed a work around for the front wind screen. Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Cees Looking mighty good and you're rolling. Keep 'em comin Peter
  15. Building a large scale ship models is an art and requires nerves of steel, especially when combing it with an incredible Pontos PE set. I've been following Steve's build of the 1/200 HMS Hood on his web site and the work is brilliant. So far he is on episode 48 (one every Friday) and I've watched every one. I would love to try a 1/200 scale ship but being truthful with myself, I don't have the space, skill and the ability to stick with it from start to finish. His work is easily museum quality and accomplished with the normal modeling tools. For anyone wanting to follow his build of just check it out: The Model Shed https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfkPhaBJc0F6h5F1FzAM32Q/featured Keep 'em coming Peter
  16. Bryan Nice work on the ignition wires and thanks for sharing your technique. Keep 'em flying Peter
  17. Steve Way to go - Building a homebuilt was always my dream and back in 1971 I bought plans for a Throp T-18 and that's as far as I ever got. Way too young, no space - we rented a town house in those days and life just flew by and so did my dream. Keep posting as much as you can as I'm now living my dream through your build. At 73 and not in the best of health, my flying days are long over but the memories are still there. Keep 'em comin Peter
  18. Harv Great job and just a shame the hotel was a let down, especially in Vegas. Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. Martin You're the 7th Calvary to the rescue for Ernie - nice going my friend Your Buffalo is looking mighty good and painting the interior portions is surely going to be a bit nerve racking. Looking forward to the pics. Keep 'em comin Peter
  20. Cees Nice to see the Stirling back on the bench and under way again Keep 'em comin Peter
  21. Kai Super work on the Shafrir2 rockets and two last details. Looking forward to the pics of the flat finish. Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. Mark and Jerry My wife Diane feels the same way but in the end never really says much when the new kit(s) show up. Keep 'em comin Peter
