  1. Rod Congratulations on the award - so very well earned with your beautiful Dauntless. As with Ernie, stories such as this makes my blood boil. Keep 'em comin Peter
  2. Kai BRAVO, simply a fantastic build. πŸ†πŸ†πŸ† From start to finish, it was a fight of epic proportions, you never wavered and the results speak for themselves. Love the display base and presentation. Awesome work - so beautifully done And now a Tornado build - I'll be with you for the entire journey.the Keep 'em comin Peter
  3. Oliver Starting paint work looks fantastic. Keep 'em coming Peter
  4. Brad Who knows for sure but the hurricanes and tropical storms have been getting more numerous and powerful the last few years in our geographical area. We have never had so many reach the New York area with such intensity, damage and intense rain and wind with incredible flooding. I know there are two sides to every story and I am by no means an expert. I was just repeating what our Tri State area governments and news stations were saying. In any case, it's a disaster that we aren't use to dealing with on such a large scale. Peter .
  5. Craig Nothing as frustrating as realizing you painted yourself into a corner and figuring out how to resolve the problem. Nice going and the added details blended in perfectly. Keep β€˜em comin Peter
  6. Thanks Gaz Ida was a horrible hurricane and then a horrific tropical storm as it moved up from the gulf coast to the northeast. The damage and flooding over this huge portion of the county just can’t be imagined and unprecedented. Diane and I were so lucky to escape the storm with no damage. Peter
  7. Gaz Nice work on the parachute - looks mighty good. Agree that the lawn chair is a bit more intricate. Keep 'em comin Peter
  8. Carl Nice work on the splitter plates and the intakes - some mighty nice work Keep 'em comin Peter
  9. Tom Nice work on the engines and they look mighty good. Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Thanks Carl Any news on how your Aunt made out from the storm? Queens had it's share of flooding and damage but I haven't seen much on the news. Long island flooded out areas are bailing out water and assessing the damage which seems to be worse then Super Storm Sandy. Just a bad situation and the entire east coat of the country sustained major flooding and damage. Please let us know how your Aunt is. Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. Carl Lots of work but the results are so well worth it. Keep 'em comin Peter

  15. The Tri State Area around NYC received record rainfall and horrendous flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Ida and the path from Louisiana and Mississippi where the hurricane came ashore to NYC, Long Island, New Jersey and southern Connecticut were all devastated from the storm and the worst of all, so far 40 people lost their lives. We have never experienced such flooding and record rain and then add in relentless winds, as it was as bad or worse then Hurricane Sandy a decade ago. Hurricanes and tropical storms have been getting more and more intense the past few years due to global warming and whatever. Where we live on Long Island, our area was spared the worse but just a few miles from us are under water. Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Hi Scott Always MRP primer first, then the gloss black base and then either Alclad or AK Real Metals. The issue is which Gloss Black Base works best for me and I normally use either Mr Color of Tamiya, with Mr Color being preferred. I do have a few bottle of the new Tamiya Lacquers due today for testing and see how they compare. Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Glad the Old man brought us up to date and the kits look fantastic. It wasn't too long ago I was so pessimistic as to the state of 1/32 scale and now, , my modelling fund is being drained faster then I can build it up. Looking forward to both of these kits as only the SWS Line is coming and the basic kit idea being dropped. Keep 'em comin Peter
