Thanks Kai, Feels like I'm breaking new ground, as it's been so long since I've reached this stage of a build and glad to say, no issues so far. I'm right with you and today the fun starts on the exhaust rear portion of the F4 - which I'm guessing is going to take quite a few painting sessions to work out and finish. The more I'm thinking about it, Tamiya must have been assuming the stabilator assembly being movable would make life easy. I glued mine in place as moving control surfaces are only going to scratch and mare the paint every time the model is moved after constructions passes the painting stages. I still think I would have preferred an assembly method somewhere in between the traditional way add adding them after painting and how Tamiya did and where the anhedral would be self locating - talk about laziness! TRIM AND COLOR 8/11/21 Pushing forward and starting to add some color and character. The canopy still bothers me and I dropped in a bit more filler to hopefully clean up the two issues that I saw and time now to move on. Flaps: I decided to paint them with Tamiya Gloss White, which is my go-to and favorite gloss white paint. Masking took a while; all went well and they do look white to be sure. Wing and vertical stabilizer tips were up next, masking was a bit tricky but once done – no issues at all. Paint of choice: Tamiya Gloss Red and went on like a charm. All the red tips will need to be edged with black boarders, which will be decals added a little later on. Anti-Glare panels - that extends from the nose tip to a way behind the canopy. I used Tamiya 2mm to frame out the area and then a boat load of Tamiya 18mm tape for all the masking. Paint of choice: Tamiya semi Gloss Black. Rob Good Golly Miss Molly, absolutely brilliant NMF - love the reflective shine and she surely gleams. Your finish is absolutely flawless❗🥇 I have to admit on my NMF's, I never use a clear gloss overcote, as it tends to dull the metallic shine somewhat unless I'm after a slightly duller, operational finish. Whether I use Tamiya X-22 or Mr Color 46, my two standard clear glosses, both are always thinned with Mr Color Leveling Thinner as both are very thick. I feel your pain with paint and thinners turning into goo in the air brush - happened to me once to often when I use Model Air and forget to use their own thinner and AB cleaner. I now have a dedicated AB for just Model Air Paints. I read a lot of guys have some sort of contamination problems when changing brands of paint or types of paint with their air brushes. I've thought about dedicating specific air brushes for specific types of paints: lacquers, acrylics and enamels but never did. I just do a quick strip down when changing types of paints and no problems at all. Keep 'em comin Peter

Ernie Right on target ... there always seems to be way too many builders looking for a kit to be produced and then fade into the shadows when their wishes have been answered. Actually the way Infinity decided to release the kit does make sense in allowing the builder to purchase the kit and add detail sets for the areas they want and those that they don’t .. don’t add them. I only wonder what the kit would cost with all the goodies included, should be quite a bit less then adding all the Detail Sets individually such as the Eduard Big Ed sets. Keep ‘em comin Peter
