  1. Ernie It's way worse and no way to fix it as everything on the Island goes east - west and into Queens and over the bridges. πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—
  2. Thanks Ernie for the heads up: Ordered and should be here by the end of the week πŸ‘ By the way SH has it for $ 129.99
  3. Ernie Looking mighty good and it always feels so good to be at the finish line and ready to roll your build out of the hanger and to the flight line.
  4. Oliver Aces for sure - the tool chest looks perfect - like I would ever think it wouldn't. πŸ†
  5. Dennis Nice job - nothing better then clean and dust free builds on the display shelves.πŸ†
  6. Ernie Glad I live on Long Island - way too dangerous living in the Lone Star State. But where we excel is in our world famous traffic, especially on the LIE and our bridges and tunnels heading into Manhattan .
  7. Nothing like nice steady progress at the bench. Looking mighty good.
  8. Here on the island it's: ticks with Lyme Disease, termites (needing an exterminator), bees, wasps and loads of ants - black not red.
  9. Ralph Nice progress and your Sabre is looking real good.
  10. Kriss Nice progress on all the detail work and interior components. Looking forward to the detail painting and photos.
  11. Right with you for sure.
  12. Peter Holy Cow - just incredible work - looking so good.
  13. John Nice choice for your next build and as usual, you're off to a terrific start.
  14. Nice start on a classic aircraft - will be following
  15. Kev, amazing work! More then steady hands are needed - as they say: a boatload of skills and talent. Looking at the rigging, it surely seems to be more then daunting.
  16. Gus Brilliant build and so glad you kept going and didn't let the nose get the better of the build. Fit and finish is superb - so very well done. Any thoughts on your next build? πŸ†
  17. Paul, same here.
  18. Thanks Ernie Got ya. I was just a bit leery as Nige was so overly concerned about it and I had the distinct feeling the kit nose gear would fail. Seeing how you're happy with the kit nose gear, I'll go that way. Yup, I've broken more then my share of nose and min gear legs during construction, always being my fault as ten fingers seem to get tangled with them way to often. πŸ˜‰
  19. Ernie, we shall see but no rush - just enjoy and work when time allows. Life just has a habit of getting in the way. πŸ˜‰
  20. Ernie I'm just blown away. Love the subtle weathering and the used but cared for service look. Nope, can't agree there really isn't any such thing as an ugly airplane to a pilot's eye - some may not be as beautiful and elegant as others but give it wings and a prop or two and she sure is beautiful. WOW. thanks for all the 'build start' photographs, as they really highlight all the work this baby has required. The front office looks awesome and completely agree with Peter's update set; it's gorgeous for sure. One question regarding the nose gear - which way did you go: kit or metal AM? I'll be buying an A-20 not to far down the line and am very unsure which way to go.
  21. Thanks Ernie, much appreciated. I'm a Quinta Fan Boy from day one and use their sets whenever I can. Completely agree that the individual gauges for the Kotare IP look awesome but these days, my 76 year old eyes just have way too hard of a time seeing what I'm doing to get them all in the right place and orientation and that's with working under my magnifier lamp. I'll be willing to bet even with you first finishing up the A-20 and then heading back to your Kotare Spit, you most likely will finish before me. My bench time these days is just so limited with a never ending stream of doctor appointments and procedures, for both my wife and myself; Oh the joys of the Golden Years! But we're still lucky to hanging around to 'enjoy' the Golden years. πŸ˜‰
  22. Good thing the glue came in a very large bag.
  23. Peter OMG, the bar has been raised and your work is just magical. Thoroughly enjoying photograph and narrative.
  24. John WOW, absolutely gorgeous P-51B Mustangs. Conversion work is flawless as well as the air brush work. πŸ†πŸ†πŸ† Thanks for sharing.
  25. Kriss Nicely done - nothing worse then an empty space the 'viewer' can see when something should be there.
