  1. Enjoy your special day guys , all the best Cheers Martin
  2. Thank you Peter, my eyesight was declining for a while now, causing me lots of grief. I lost my confidence building especially to work with fine detail. My depth perception is quite distorted, it’s been like waging a war. Denial didn’t help, it’s time to take action.
  3. Decent plastic. I know I know ZM is out with their uber kit, so why to bother with 1/48? Because when you open the box you’re not overtaken by horror caused by over-engineered plastic puzzle. Build thread should follow as soon as I get my eye surgery done.
  4. Small ceramic insulator is visible on the picture, just above the fuselage, in front of the loop. If there was no mast, tge wire would go according the pictures posted above and the insulator would be in different position. but….. it can be also anything else shining in the darkness:)
  5. Middle part of the antenna wire is insulated on both ends. In the rear section iis a drop down lead to the fuselage not so far from the place where the radio lives.
  6. She's getting there. Keep it up . Cheers Martin
  7. This looks really nice Chris , solid airbrush control, Me likey
  8. There’s actually a tensioner on the left side of the canopy frame to deal with the slack. A small lever
  9. neighbourly gesture
  10. You can see the insulator cap just in front of the loop antenna . Few reference pictures.
  11. Swear to God , I’ll send him to Russia. ☠️
  12. At least it's pretty
  13. Looking good Bill. One motivational picture
  14. Looks like the painful part of this saga is over and the fun part is ahed. Looks great Peter.
  15. Ha ha awesome! Don't forget to sand down the excessive detail on the rudder
  16. Thank you for the kind words Peter. This really is the most accurate kit of MiG-29 in any scale. I only altered the length of the main landing gear, dropped the slats and slightly reworked the intake channels. Other than that, it went together without too much trouble and as I said above if I didn't rush and followed the instructions :), you know the story . Next in line will be Su-27, again in 1/48 scale. This time in the "classic" blue /grey Soviet scheme, missiles and all.
  17. I had the very same experience with Molotow pen. Big fail, minimal adhesion to the surface, inconsistent flow, simply disaster .
  18. What a huge difference , Well done John
