  1. Arii makes a number of 1/32 car kits. They're fairly inexpensive (around $5 each) so I grabbed a couple to check out. They're simple but detailed enough. One big problem is they all include the same type of rubber tyre. Definitely not a modern size much less the right width. There way too narrow for the kit rims. So I found a more appropriate shape and our son Edward resized it and printed one out. This is much better. I'll probably knock one of these kits together just for fun.
  2. Please put me down for the raffle. For a prize, I'll let the winner choose either the just announced Takom Horten Ho-229 from the nearest retailer to them or a $75USD (or equivalent) to the shop of their choosing. Carl
  3. That gear is going to look great under a coat of paint and a wash.
  4. Some great paintwork there Rob. The red is really bright in the pics so I can only imagine what it's like in-person.
  5. I've started on the Suez stripes. I also painted the gear bays in silver.
  6. That M113 is going to be a fun build Paul. The great thing about it is there's so much scope for AM conversions and accessories. I wouldn't mind an M163 variant myself.
  7. So, finally back to work on the Wyvern. I stalled on it as I didn't want to deal with masking the canopy. There's a moulded on wiper and masking around it wasn't going to be fun. Well, I bit the bullet and did it. Then I tacked the rear part in place. No going back now. Time for some paint. But first, I stuck some parts that would need to be done in Sky as well onto a piece of card. I used AK Real Colors Sky because that's what I had. Now to let things dry a bit and then onto the Suez stripes.
  8. Mike, incredible work. Especially on adding the gun mount bay after the fact.
  9. Found it. https://www.amazon.ca/Puking-Ceramic-Warming-Dressings-Novelty/dp/B0BYNC1JXW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=9KN8YQSFHJ2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.R3zFmLUvW1uRVhYpT0aUv8zFmdwI4npI8Uo7fd-drgW8vRD2w5hl989-RTX2bE4kGVljeoAQXCLVQc4ejzrMp-usTJVkwoZqWKIVm_mxct8T-MzEbxbq_o_8PSyKqZqQ-gGvgb-C3x7r1SjbBIh-hXFao6YuUESI2Q3cQKR5zqfXk5KbzAsbXGkoc8Zxdk4q886crtkWBAxKpEBehHSsSQ.jifwqL17cDPGyKxDqGlIU02V62P_gXaVR7FFV2b0sSU&dib_tag=se&keywords=puking+cat+gravy+boat&qid=1733520313&sprefix=puking+%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1
  10. Nope,this is the one. .
  11. I feel your pain with the unwelcome results there Rob. I have a Hasegawa Miura where Tamiya Lacquer has etched the plastic. It'll need to be sanded smooth before I can attempt any sort of respray. Nice solution to the fit issue that you had. One step forward, two steps back.
  12. We had a package arrive from Amazon the other day. Sue brought it in so it was on the dining room table when I got home. She tells me "There's a package for you. What did you order now?". She hates Amazon so nothing to do with my models. I'm perplexed as I didn't order anything. I look at the shipping label, it has her name on it. We're both curious at this point so she opens it up. It's a puking cat gravy boat. Yes, they make such a thing. So it turns out her brother ordered it and sent it to her. She's planning to use it at Christmas dinner this year.
  13. A nice looking truck there Dave. Makes a great Christmas decoration.
  14. Looks great. The weathering is nicely done. Well, a couple Toronto winters and it would be merely scrap metal.
  15. I have one of the sanders myself. It really is handy especially for intake seams.
  16. I may have shaken it too hard.
  17. I would be up for it. The biggest possible hurdle here in Canada is the current ongoing postal strike. So it may take a bit longer to get a prize either coming or going to the Great White North. But that's why we have a stash...
  18. Congrats on the new job!
  19. They re oil pans. For catching dripping oil. Usually used when you do an oil change on a car at home. Typically moulded in black plastic.
  20. Amazing work Jeroen. You make it all look so easy.
  21. I actually way more Spitfires but the Corsair is my favourite prop plane.
  22. Some great progress there.
