  1. Had a visit from our postwoman this afternoon with a fairly large box from HLJ. Inside was a nice mix of stuff. Trying to catch up to JohnB. Not really but I like Corsairs almost as much as he does. This thing would have given a Jagdtiger a run for its money. Here kitty, kitty, kitty. Lastly, some AM for my B-24 and MiG The last one is help me check the accuracy of the HB kit. Carl
  2. Very nice selection of subjects there Dale.
  3. Superlative work there Peter. Nice save on the landing gear legs. For the springs that Wolf mentioned on the wheels, I don't know if they're small enough but Wave and T2M make small diameter spring wire. I have some that's 1.0 and 1.1 mm in diameter. If you can't find any locally, let me know and I can send some to you. Carl
  4. Very nice as always John. I'd be up for a group buy on Corsairs too. Carl
  5. Wow, excuse me while I pick my jaw up. Stunning work there. Carl
  6. It's supposed to come out after the Three Mile Island limited edition hits shelves. Catl
  7. Good advice there Phil. I've got a couple links set aside for each for that reason. On my Jagdpanther I ended up with the opposite problem in that they were a link too long so a bit slacker than they should have been.
  8. Back to the bench, I've gotten a bit more done on the RB26DETT. It wasn't as much as I'd hope to get done as I... ...kind of got distracted building some multi piece working tank tracks. Three pieces per link, 95 links per side. One side down, one to go.
  9. It was HIGHLY recommended that we stop at two by not just my wife's OB but my father in law who is a retired pathologist. Actually, her OB's exact words were "You're done!"
  10. The good news there is I'll hopefully have cleared off enough of my workbench to start on it once it does come out. Carl
  11. I'd agree that the Tamiya kit is probably the best option. The Hasegawa kit is good but over 30 years old now. The Kinetic is more recent but may be a bit more fiddly to build. Carl
  12. My reply to that was "IT WAS YOUR IDEA!!!" At least after the second one. Carl
  13. Tamiya now have the kit listed for an April release. A bit more expensive than the previous versions though. https://www.tamiya.com/english/products/60328/index.htm Carl
  14. Cool! I've got the AIMS conversion to build this in 1/32 using the Revell A-4 kit. Carl
  15. Congrats Tony! The mobile idea for the planes sounds awesome. Carl
  16. Nice ride Rob! I don't see many white Jeeps so different too. Carl
  17. First coat of paint on the GT-R body.
  18. Here's the Procon Boy PS770 as they call it on top. I've got a HP-C as well along with three Eclipses. The Procon Boy doesn't have the front cutout like the Custom Micron does but otherwise is pretty close. It uses the same needle and tips too. That being said, you don't get the level of service that Anest Iwata provides. The Eclipse without a quick disconnect is the one my son now uses. Carl
  19. They are great airbrushes. I have four myself along with one they make for Gunze. It's the same as a custom micron but was much cheaper. Carl
  20. Just need to convince them to start doing some for jets. Carl
  21. Got a couple of tanks. It was hard to pass up on a Jagdtiger for $33 CAD. Also picked up a Marder III. This thing is tiny compared to the Jagdtiger. As the Marder came with rubber band tracks, I got some Modelkasten tracks to go with it. Let's see how insane I go putting them together. Carl
  22. I used one on my last Corsair build. I felt it was an improvement. It's definitely better than the Eduard one in my opinion. Hope that helps. Carl
  23. Harv, that's the important part. Meantime, the interior is looking mighty fine. Carl
  24. A nice mix of kits there Dale! Carl
  25. 1/12 RB26DETT from a Skyline GT-R.
