    I just received the new Hispanic HA-1112 conversion set from Attitude Aviation AS. It's designed for use with the Hasegawa BF109 G6 kit. Here's a quick look at the contents. Overall, it looks pretty good to me. The castings are nice and clean, there's no airbubbles. Some of the resin parts even have locating pins. Now to track down a Hasegawa G6 as a base kit. Carl

    I think that's the one I picked up. The guy's name is Espen and he's in Norway. It took 10 days to get here after I paid for the order so arrived yesterday afternoon. If you get one of the first 94 sets made, he's including decals for ones seen in the Battle of Britain film. Carl

    I received a new silver coin to celebrate the Year of the Pig (2019) which is my sign under the Chinese calendar, socks from my boys, and a Blu-ray set for Star Blazers. From myself, I got the 1/32 Bouchon conversion set and a really big box that contained an HK Lancaster. Carl

    I was checking out Ultracast and they had a new decal sheet from Belcher Bits listed https://www.ultracast.ca/product-p/bel_bd032.htm Sadly, I confused the item number with the scale. Damn....so close. I've emailed Belcher to see if they're going to upscale it to 1/32. Here's hoping for a positive reply. Carl

    It's Christmas morning in our house and with two young boys that means: 1)- no sleeping in. Why can't they wake up this early on a school day? And more importantly, 2)- our house looks like a Lego store exploded in the living room! Hope everyone else's family is having as much fun and joy this morning. Carl

    One change I made is I swapped out the small flat head screwdriver that the Rivet-R comes with for a hex head cap screw. I find it easier to disassemble when needed compared to using a small flat head screwdriver. The stock one is the lower of the two. And here's the corner version for tight spots.

    It's adjustable so you can vary the tension. I have mine fairly loose so it spins freely.

    Not sure how well it'll show up in the pic, bit here's the wing on my PCM XIX kit after using the Rivet-R on it.

    I've got two of the larger ones and one of the smaller ones as well. He even makes one for getting into corners that's partly squared off. If you haven't yet, pick up the extra wheels which have different spacing for the rivets. That's why I've got the two holders so I don't have to take them apart to switch them all the time. Carl

    It definitely was a tough one to break. I always have the intention to finish them so I don't think of them as completely abandoned. I've managed to get through a couple of them this year and have a couple more on the bench with that goal in mind. It has to have a truly catastrophic error or damage for me to give up and truly bin it. Carl

    I've got the Studio 27 kit in the stash as well. The Aoshima kit is better. MFH kit has all that detail included and the panel over them is held in place with magnets. That being said, it is pricier but everything's in the box: PE, carbon decals where needed, fabric belts and even machined aluminium bits. Only thing missing is time and the skills needed to put it together. Carl
