  1. I always loved that paint scheme. I did the old Hasegawa boxing in 1/48 when it first came out and even bought the Revell 1/32 one just for the decals. I'll have to get the ZM one when it hits the LHS.
  2. Hopefully @Jeffor @CrankyCrafstman see this as they seem to be our resident heavy vehicle gurus.
  3. I do the exact same thing. I've tried different approaches to try and not duplicate (or worse!) myself. B-25 stuff still haunts me it seems. I was putting away the Tomcat stuff and noticed I have 1 too many interior sets. I have 2 D kits, 1 with a Quinta set, the other, a Red Fox one. Except one of those D kits is getting converted to a B which uses a late A cockpit. So I'll see how best to sort this out.
  4. It has appropriately shrunk to the standard size of 12" x 12". I think of it as the downtown core with the rest being the suburbs.
  5. Quite the job getting the bench level. I levelled mine when I built it. Hopefully it hasn't shifted. Makes me want to look at the Skyray in the stash. As for astigmatisms, I developed mine when I was 3 1/2 so I've had corrective eyewear since. About 5 years ago I got ICL surgery done and ended up with better than 20/20 vision. Except I then needed readers when I'm at the bench. At least they're the cheapie ones so it's a fair tradeoff.
  6. Welcome to getting old!
  7. Rog, that's some good news there. Unfortunate that the original build gave you such a hard time. But maybe it was a mixed blessing as you're getting a home much closer to what you wanted.
  8. Great to see a start on the Cutlass. Having the same jig, it give me an idea of just how big it is.
  9. Border Model's Tiger I early. Just throwing this together OOB. I need a paint test mule for my Andy's Tiger.
  10. Some F-14 bits and a detail set for the Takom USMC M60 with the ERA armour. Plus decals for a Tamiya F-14B. The plan is to use the Santa Cat markings as I have a Reskit deck figure in a Santa suit.
  11. Paul, you can use the Leveling thinner on them if needed but I find they're fairly thin.
  12. Tamiya Metallic Grey has a flat sheen. It's available in both lacquer and acrylic. Another option is one of the Mr Color Metallizer colours. They have a similiar viscosity as the Model Master paints did and there's a range of colours.
  13. I picked up this jig when it first came out. I found too big for my bench so I didn't use it much. It definitely works well when needed and is much sturdier than the other ones I have.
  14. Special torture at the bench. Otherwise known as working tank tracks. The dark coloured ones are for an LVT-4 Water Buffalo. Talk about a pain to get together. Which is why I'm doing a bit at a time and then working on the other set of tracks. Those are T80 tracks ostensibly for a Sherman HVSS. In this case, I'm using them on a T95 Heavy tank so I have to make 4 runs of 97 tracks each. I've got two runs done already there.
  15. I wonder if the mileage is any better.
  16. Sadly, not a spare but I do have one.
  17. I'll triple it and add in the F4U!!! Or maybe you can go with an RF-8.
  18. That's would a cool diorama. Might be a bit big though.
  19. For the health of my wallet, shipping to Canada takes it out of the "it's a good deal so I might as well get one" section .
  20. Looking forward to seeing the pics.
  21. Looks fantastic Scott. Looking forward to seeing more pics.
  22. You're probably right. Making sure there's the right mix of tracer rounds.
