  1. I did some of the detail painting in the MLG bay. I then gave things a wash in brown to bring out the details a bit more. One side done compared to the other. Both sides now done. I masked and painted the side panels that are a burnt metal colour. Then I glued the engine into the cowl. The cowl has a slight warp to the open side so I've shimmed it slightly. Finally, the cowl is glued on. Just waiting for the epoxy to set. I used a 15 min so that I had time to find tune the placement.
  2. And then some!
  3. This is for @ScottsGT, I found this video on YT of a guy unboxing a 1/650 Enterprise -D. This should easily fill that 130 kit gap in your stash. No idea on pricing but wow... It makes the 1/350 TOS and Refit kits look tiny.
  4. It looks to be the same or similar issue HK Models had with their B-25 cowls. Glad it seems to be an easy fix
  5. Makes me happy that I have a hobby shop nearby as well as some that can deliver in a couple days if I can't get out to the LHS. The engine is looking good. The chrome has sort of worked out in the end as a base coat. I like it a lot.
  6. That Mercedes is supposed to be a very nice kit. They did a great job capturing the details of the frame.
  7. The Greyhound looks to be a good choice.
  8. Almost all done. Seats are in Canopy is on. Just need to paint the tip tanks.
  9. Just buy the kits, put them in the stash and if she complains, then have her count and you can say "See, how could it be bigger when it's the same 300 it's been?" I'd still take cover just in case that doesn't work.
  10. Wow, some huge decals to apply. I don't think I could pull those off. For the red edging, I use a Gundam marker. They come in various widths and are much easier to use than masking off the gear door edges and such.
  11. I haven't built it but a couple members here have. From what I understand, it's not bad but the cockpit detail is a bit basic. A couple companies have already put out some detail sets to help out there.
  12. I'm a big fan of Tiger Meet aircraft and shark mouth ones myself. Postwar RCAF/CAF loved doing all sorts of one off paint schemes.
  13. Is that the Spitfire wacky racer sorta thingy? Or the Messerschmitt-y one?
  14. If I did, my Sea Fury might look a bit short.
  15. So, anyone know how this could be a comfortable place to hang out? I don't even know how he fits himself in there. Meantime, on my other bench the CT-233 is entering the decal phase.
  16. Nice bunch of purchases. The LFD conversion is really nice. I need to grab the decal sheet myself. I have a bunch of the PCM XIV highbacks in the stash I could use it for.
  17. I haven't built it but it's the Trumpeter kit re-boxed. Try looking for reviews of that kit. Supposedly it's not bad.
  18. On her legs.. Just have the ejection seats and the rest of the decals left.
  19. You said it!
  20. I wouldn't mind one of the other armoured car variants myself. The Puma is pretty cool too. I would absolutely love a hybrid Firefly though.
  21. Gear is mostly done. Just need the nose gear doors and wheels.
  22. Wow, 1/16 armour is really picking up.
  23. I couldn't resist. First couple of decals are on.
  24. I've got their Tiger and we're giving the Sherman to our oldest for Christmas. @CrankyCrafstman Ron has been doing a great job on his Tiger and a few other members have started some 1/16 builds lately.
