Those look good and the prop looks good also! Rob another member on here got me started on "Nato Black" I just about use it everywhere now.I did some invasion stripes in semi-black and hit them spotty like with NB and it looked convincing to me.Keep up the good work. -

This is about as far as I have gotten so far with most of the resin removed from the pours, washed in soapy warm water and now all to dry overnight.I had items that needed my attention on the other side of the shop mainly 1k rds of 30cal carbine needing assembly.I think it's time for a Scotch been a long week extra hours at work OT and in the shop some Jura might find a glass tonight. -

My Airfix 1/24 scale Typhoon
KevinM replied to Irishman1's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
The Typhoon came really Nice and not over done on the weathering,As to the Kenetic what I have seen some do with the engine has been pretty nice but it was added on.The copit did seem it was kind of bland from what little I have seen but enhancements I would bet can be added fairly easy just let the imagination happen. -

That could be blasphemes but she is looking good thus far if you pay that close attention to rivets I am sure the paint will be just as good.As to the Nose-Art I always thought it was the way a young Buck got a hold of some Nice government property and made it his hot rod. -

This build was going good till I got to the vac canopy only used one but a bit of a PIA to get there and I think I was to go further? The next stage being paint went well enough grey primer flat silver for "Silver Dope".The decal went down better than anticipated with very little silvering most being the bottom decals. The the big reveal time to take off the canopy mask and less then spectacular moment frosting "Hoowww?" it was super clear before the paint.I think I was to bevel the inside for a snugger fit is the best I can conjure up.Thank God the WhirlWind has a regular canopy. -
Damn that's Tough!May God look down on him and give him Grace.🙏

This is a Nice little kit Resin,PE and Metal LG's to boot.I will be doing the AC on the box art I think it said was involved in Dieppe Raid hence the black/white recognition stripes.I probably have maybe another 3/5 CA kits in the stash to which they build up into nice representations of A/C back 15/20years ago none of the other manufactures wanted to bother with.

I started this build a couple days ago as a side to the wood work that's been happening on the other side of the wall.I have a few of these CA kits in stock they are not hard just different in being they are really a limited run production in design no locating pins or wing slots so one has to improvise slightly. The wheel wells/LG was the first area I built had the most pieces of the whole plane and second to the copit for resin small pieces all went well. This build only allows the F1 version with the small tail out back and tailplanes unlike the carrier based version. The pic just shows my way of aligning the wings with stock .040" round styrene,The next pic probably Sunday will be her finished.

You do not do any reloading?I use my drill press for OAL of the brass all the time.I have a Dewalt 3 blade planer man does that one get used.I have a hard time Scott separating the two hobbies as far as time goes I enjoy both immensely.I have the the benefit of having that separate building with model room and wood work area.

Still a ways out but as of now the 10day forecast has Gen.Lee coming close for the invasion of the N I forget you are in the Carolina's Scott so you know the drill. https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=gfs®ion=atl&pkg=mslp_pcpn_frzn&runtime=2023090612&fh=6

It's just about complete one more sanding up top and the top was a PIA.This is my second octagon top and the last one came out better the problem is the center everything is heading to the center very hard for me ATTM to get perfect hence the round plug (Symbolizes coming full circle completion) That's my story The other issue was the Diablo blades I use on my 7 1/4" miter saw/radial was flexing the cuts were not fully straight gave me fits last night.I said sleep on it look at it with fresh mind/eyes.I checked the radial smooth and true, then was the blade shaft wobbling no wobble standard front/back motion and then I looked at the blade? The blade is .028" thick I started to wonder went and pulled a cheap 40T Avanti blade down .058" I started cleaning up the remaining pieces of high points on the previously cut pieces and able to save the work. It's not perfect but Momma is happy that's the important part. The other pic is one I did for my Sis she lives in a house over 100 years old and had a vase that sat on the floor>The top is Leopard Wood with Zebra for the inlay with three curved legs of Aromatic Cedar.Well I thought I had a pick of the legs ??
