  1. Best wishes to your wife Gus. Hope for a speedy recovery..... even if it is to get you some bench time lol
  2. Was working Gus. Joys of working on a farm. Bed early as it's well physical and have to stay sober so i can drive lol
  3. Work near to Elgin so the coast area has just been cold, windy and chuffin wet. But live in the hills and we've had a fair bit of snow on and off along with the cold and wind. My pigs are starting to learn to swim lol
  4. Loving this build. Wish i had the balls to give rivetting a go. I 've done it in real life (joys of being an Airframe Technician) but never tried it on a model aircraft lol
  5. Will do Harv. And i'd also like to make a public and personal thanks to you for the superb prize.
  6. Belated Happy New Year to everyone. Had a laptop issue over xmas and DPD courier didn't help things by delivering my laptop to wrong address that shutdown for 2 weeks over the xmas period. So wasn't on here sooner to send y'all wishes.
  7. Been working like a trojan on the farm over xmas/new year so have had little time off and bench time. Little bit of progress. Brake line pipes made and a couple of worm clamps from 1mm lead wire (flattened and cut in half). Also 'painted' the oleo with a Molotow marker (under the masking tape). Never used one before but looks good.
  8. After a little nudge by Clunkmeister i'll say "I'm in" as a recipient. But as i said in PM i'll offer up a 1/32 Eduard Revell Fw190 F8 PE Interior (33149) and Eduard PE Seatbelt Set (32843) as a prize.
  9. Very nice indeed. I always thought the upkeep mine was black. Didn't know it was rusty red.
  10. Three presents for me this Christmas. One from me....1/32 Revell Ju88 A4. Been after this kit for like, forever and found one on evilbay going really cheap. So got it whilst i could. Came with 9 unopened Tamiya paints too. One from She Who Must Be Obeyed (SWMBO). 1/32 Revell Fw190 F8 with a ton of extras. All for the price of just over the kit price alone. One from my kids. 1/35 Meng King Tiger (Henschel). Love this tank and now i can have a bash at it.
  11. Exhausts added. Not a great fit due to the additional detail i've added getting in the way. But once it's buttoned up in the cowl you aren't going to be able to see all the mistakes lol
  12. That looks fantabulous. Would love to have a crack at one of those.
  13. No they are the kit ones Harv
  14. Not touched this since May due to work and other personal issues. But i'm starting to get back into it now. Here's my progress so far. Ignition wires routed and painted with various other areas touched up too.. Started to add the exhausts
  15. Just a quick question to you guys. What do you think about Revell's (old mould) Mosquito? Is it a decent enough kit to build? Also i would like to do the Bomber version and also the Fighter Bomber version. If i go down the FB version, what extras would i need to make it one? Obviously i'd need some sort of nose correction kit

  16. A really cheap thin masking tape? Or do you have any of the HGW seatbelt surrounding material (the leftover material the seatbelts are attached to).
  17. I'm more of an Anton man myself. The Dora seems to get all the attention bit like the Spitfire vs the Hurricane.
  18. Especially ones who like Fw190s Welcome btw
  19. Cheers guys. Starting to find my mojo again
  20. Just wanted to say i haven't forgotten you guys on here. I'm still doing my Fw190 build.... well i am now. Been working quite a bit and i also suffer with mental health issues. I have anxiety and depression issues that sometimes manifest themselves so much they make me very insular. So sorry for not taking part on the forum lately but they did in fact raise their ugly heads again the last few weeks. I'm now on 12 days off so i am hoping to get some serious progression done to the Fw190. I also have a Battle of Britain GB to do from another forum..... no not that forum So i'll get around to catching up with the build threads on here and see you around
  21. I must admit i've been trying (and failing for the most part) to find pictures of the BMW 801 from all angles to see where pipework goes etc. So at this point i'm just adding some wiring and maybe the odd pipe.
  22. Never tried an engine before. I'm just 'winging' it
  23. Only thinking? It should be made law that everyone has to build one..... or ten
  24. Thanks Phil The Montex masks worked perfectly. I intend to use them again for a few more builds.
  25. As i'm new to the forum i just wanted to give you guys an idea of my builds and my ahem....skill level. These have all been completed in the last two years. One or two has a few little bits missing. Joys of having kids touch things they are not supposed to! I'm not a great builder but i enjoy it and that is the main thing. My skills are improving and i am always open to trying new things. First one i did was a 1/32 Hasegawa Fw190 F8. Nice build and loved doing the painting on this. Next. 1/32 Hasegawa Fw190 A8. Always wanted to do this scheme. Used EagleCals for the snake. Lastly. My latest completed build. 1/32 Revell Bf109 G6/R6. Used Montex masks for the first time although i made a massive boo boo and put the crosses in the wrong places. The Erla scheme was done using P-Mask. The underwing cannons are Barracuda resin.
