  1. Gorgeous looking Owl. As others have said, excellent execution of the camo and weathering.. Matt
  2. Thanks for the feedback folk... I do hope Revell go through with an early G. At least the gun troughs wouldn't need correcting . Matt
  3. Well, some of the warp will represent the wash out that was a feature of the Ta152H wing... not sure if Dragon put wash out in or the warp is just entirely an error? Nice build... Matt
  4. Ralph I do recall reading that you had to be careful with the wings/fuselage joint, mainly because it is a join to the canopy. Not sure if that's correct... but someone said it wss a little dicey in terms of strength of joint. Matt
  5. I have, but I need two nights, for two... Looks like a lovely place to stay though and a bargain price... some of the skanky old pubs charge more than this for an evening... Matt
  6. I should be there, depends on accom prices... Matt
  7. Ha.. ha.. Maybe finish the sentence .... in Europe, but thanks to the great exchange rate... etc... Good job it wasn't the Catalina.! Matt
  8. Wow! That looks beautiful.. Matt
  9. Something to bare in mind with a spray booth is explosion risk. Depending on what you're spraying, a fine atomised mist of spirits, lacquers, alcohol etc is potentially very explosive. I'm not saying that the home made ones are definitely going to blow up! However, the units with specifically designed motors have a system where the armature is fully enclosed - to prevent a stray spark causing ignition. If you use acrylics with water - there's no problem. Whatever solution you go for, try to get something that vents outdoors. While the filter media inside the unit will sort out the particulates, to get rid of the smell you either need a (relatively expensive) carbon filter or to get that solvent laden air out of the room. Have a look on eBay. I bought a unit called a Glu Booth (designed for using pretty noxious spraymount indoors) which has a 24x18 inch working area. This was 2nd hand and cost me about £50 when new they're more like £500. Works well - shifts a lot of air - takes air from below (like the unit Paulster shows) which means paint is being drawn down towards the model. Matt
  10. I solved all my PB problems by switching to Flickr... Sorry that doesn't help you... However, I have just looked at your website JG32.org and all the images are showing there.. are they some of the ones you'd lost? Matt EDIT - OK I see lots of your images missing on the site.... Looking on the forums via Google search, looks like a message to their support team generally fixes this issue... http://support.photobucket.com/home
  11. I had one of these a long while ago.... From what I recall it wasn't 1/32... some weird sort of scale.. As you said, lots of quite complicated moveable parts - doesn't the drop tank move back and forth to operate the u/c? Think it'll look good finished whatever the scale.. Matt
  12. Just managed to buy one of these (Finnish boxing), so watching with even more interest.. can't recall any other builds..? Matt
  13. Great attention to small details - makes all the difference. V. nice. Matt
  14. That's a good looking Hurricane... Shows what the Revell is capable of with tlc and aftermarket... Matt
  15. Excellent exposition with great use of evidence.. how it's meant to be... Matt
  16. Very cool... Excellent history of the type and interesting CAD images... Look forward to seeing the actual physical model take shape.. Matt
  17. I often find Luftwaffe aircraft in RAF schemes look a bit 'tamed', but the D-Day stripes make this 109 look even more aggressive than in Luft camo... Great work... Matt
  18. Well Nick and Lawman, You may be in luck as the photo I have shows a sub 1/72 scale level of detail in the real aircraft.... Nicely boxed in and plain... Just found this... really nice film and some useful insights... Matt
  19. Just voted for the HpH Me 410.... had to be really.... Bf 109H is on my to do list and I'll put it up here when I start.... Matt
  20. What a beauty Arno Captures the look of '27' very well. Good effort on the puttied panels as well. Matt
  21. Too shallow I thought Rick I'm also sure that I've read that the CMK replacement doesn't actually correct the depth! Not sure about Lone Star? I've seen a couple of builds where folk have deepened the parts themselves... Matt
  22. Thanks James So for us in UK it's like Hannants and their Xtradecal etc ranges... Matt
  23. I did wonder if you were referring to Volks or, heaven forbid, ZM...? Great shame if you've fallen out... Matt PS - not digging for the whys and wherefores, just who.?
  24. Nice work Steve Watch out for all that resin dust though. It isn't very pleasant stuff and you should really avoid having the stuff a ) floating around while you're cutting and b ) lying around your workspace. I tend to either do my cutting/sanding with a vacuum cleaner running and tube held close by to suck up all the dust straight away or do the cutting/sanding wet so no dust to contend with. Matt
