  1. Yes, pretty cool huh? Actually there were more planes that had this.
  2. It’s all fun and games on our forum. But who are we?? Let’s connect on Facebook too and get to know each other better! this is me: https://www.facebook.com/jeroen.peters.18
  3. More weathering. Still much more to do. Also added the instruments to the side of the cowlings.
  4. Thnx Gunnar! Question: it looks as if the exhaust stub consists of 2 parts. One part connected to the cowling and one connected to the exhaust? Or am i wrong?
  5. Some more work in the spinner and exhaust. I have to consider 3d printing limitations as well.
  6. Well… in the prototype it ran even longer. Alle the way to the back, through the fuel tank.
  7. Amazing stuff. It’s mainly the transition between the exhaust pipe and the main body that puzzles me. And the plate that obviously connects with the cowling. I’ll give it a new go. Thx for sharing this. It does clear things up (a bit) 🙃
  8. Wow… may i ask if this is your work? This sheds some new light. Thnx! I might start a new one 😬
  9. My lord. This exhaust shape is killing me. Trying to figure out how the exhaust stub protrudes from the main exhaust body.
  10. First order of business is trying to get the exhaust right. This really is a complex shape. Started from scratch 4 times over. I think this might be getting somewhere... The rear end should follow the engine a bit more.
  11. Aah thnx! Didn’t make sense to me. Now it does. Also great detail on those supports. I see i have some alterations to do.
  12. Started work on one of the exhausts. This is a really complicated shape. Roughing it out on the side of the engine.
  13. What a puzzle. Struggling to draw the missing components from the engine. I want to print the engine separately, which means it should drop fit in its cradle. The front of the wing spar is just a simple cube at the moment, until I am sure what the measurements of the wing thickness of the kit is. It's no use drawing everything in drawing measurements, if it doesn't fit the kit the parts are designed for.
  14. Wow, thnx Gunnar. René told me about the signaling function of the Coffman starter, but I couldn't make sense of it and assumed he was mistaken I started work in the engine bearers today. Lot's of figuring out to do. I see I'll still have to draw the electric starter. Would it be more logical to add the glycol tank in front behind the spinner plate or the version with the relocated glycol tank? My 3D work is still a bit rough, but that's because I keep altering the angles of the frame a little...
  15. Wow! Yes! It looks as of the glycol tanks are missing in these drawings? Behind the spinner back plate? And another question: did these engines have a Coffman starter?
  16. Getting there! Here are some of the 3D drawn and printed hatches.
  17. Thnx Thnx Gunnar! For these images and the other ones you sent. Almost finished the Hs129, after the Whirlwind gets my full attention.
