harv Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 I got the top fuselage parts out to see how the fit of the Academy fuel tanks will fit. These were a gift from Scott plus the extended para pack parts. But I'm happy with the fit sofar. It needs tweeking but very possible......harv 7
BlrwestSiR Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 That's further along than I've gotten on mine. Do you have any specific markings in mind? Tiger meet or a line jet? Carl 2 2
harv Posted January 24, 2021 Author Posted January 24, 2021 Its a line jet. Nothing specific yet. Do I need a am wheelwell for this ? The pit is just kit with 3D printed decals for it. ...harv 2
BlrwestSiR Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 I'd say no on the wheel wells. The Aires one is nice but a PITA to fit. As is typical of Aires. 2

harv Posted January 24, 2021 Author Posted January 24, 2021 Today's lesson, para pack. The grey piece is from the Academy kit that Scott so graciously sent me. Looks to be an easy fix. Single cut and mate up. The cut is on a panel line....harv 7
harv Posted January 25, 2021 Author Posted January 25, 2021 One side is cut. A little clean up and it will fit really nice. I'm not building this kit yet. Just playing around !....harv 5
harv Posted January 25, 2021 Author Posted January 25, 2021 I'm afraid the cut on opposite side was off track abit I'll need to shim it a little. But this is how it will look.....harv 6
TJTX Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 For someone not building a kit you sure are building a lot! I'm gonna start telling my wife I'm not drinking whiskey, I'm just playing around. 1 6
harv Posted January 25, 2021 Author Posted January 25, 2021 Let me know how that works out for you !.....harv 2 3
harv Posted January 27, 2021 Author Posted January 27, 2021 My humble attempt at scratching the rear sensors . Still very ruff.....harv 7
BlrwestSiR Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Nice start on the fairings. Throw some paint on it and you'll be caught to me. 5
harv Posted January 27, 2021 Author Posted January 27, 2021 Getting close. What do you think ?......harv 6

harv Posted January 27, 2021 Author Posted January 27, 2021 Thanks. Using pics from the net. Going by panel lines, and guessing.....harv 4

What do you think ?......harv Looks great Harv Although I dont know much about F-16's, they are one of my favorite jets. I had to do a google to see how what you made compares with photos and I think you have actually done a really really great job capturing the shape and size. Only one thing after looking at photos I might suggest, is thinning the mounting plate down a little. Not a criticism at all, just a genuine response to your question. Otherwise bravo buddy....great job! I will enjoy following along....and try to resist buying a kit, I got my own Phantom to finish first! Cheers Anthony 2 1

harv Posted February 1, 2021 Author Posted February 1, 2021 Only staged, nothing glued yet. I switched the grey Sprue instead of the green because its softer and easier to sand. Olso found some thinner card for the base plates. What is your opinions?......harv 7

That looks much better. Keep up the great work Harv, love what you are doing here! 3 1
BlrwestSiR Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 The thinner baseplates do look much better than your first effort. Can't wait to see more. Carl 2 1
harv Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 Bit of playing around. Base plates are on. And repaired my goof up cutting the kit part off....harv 6
