Thank you all. Garfield was a special cat. The home feels empty now. But on the other hand, I'm grateful that we got to say goodbye to our beloved cat and had lots of good memories.

My sister and her family are visiting from Chicago. They brought their dog Maggie up with them. 

Sue says we should have kept her when we had for a few months back they were moving.

Sorry to say my Hannah is not doing well.She is having serious issues moving about something has happened to the right rear leg it self or the spine.I take her to the vet Monday I hope I get to bring her home she is only ten years old and a sweetheart.I have already in her first year and a half had both knees rebuilt she is in so much pain at times she shakes ...I literally cry for her...she's my Dog.

Well she came home with me Wednesday meet is contingent that we see improvement.The Doc took pics and the R/rear pelvic area is impending the spine causing inflammation and nerve blockage for use of the legs.He says about 70% of the animals respond to acupuncture and IR laser treatments along with a series of shots along the spine in that area,The treatment if it takes hold happens in 24/48hrs if not enough response takes place I will be putting her down Wednesday at best unless a miracle happens this treatment buys her another 6/12 months.Hannah was going to be 10yrs old this August Black Mouth Curs usually live 12/18 years depending on the genes.If I have to get another dog it will probably be another Cur Hannah was super sweet  and protective.

My Wife cried her eyes out I handled it better than my last one to put down Gus but I have been anticipating this event for 10 days now.I told the vet I would like another like her color and all her name will be Anna.The Cur's have such a wonderful demeanor but fearless to perceived threats hell last night she got up briefly at a knock and started barking....her job was not done...it finished this morning.

This is the hardest part of pet ownership, after we had to put down our two cats one aged 15 in 2017 and one aged 18 in 2020 we have not been able to face getting another pet even though we do still love cats and dogs.

It´s so hard to loose a four legged family member Kevin. I have been there over a year ago, and I´m still sad. I think it´s our responsibility to lighten the burden of an ill pet, as soon, as live doesn´t seem livable for them anymore. To me, it was a hard decision, but I´m still convinced, it was the best, as my dog had pancreas cancer and he deserved a dignified life and a dignified death.
I hope, Anna will help you and your wife. We have only some cats now, which happened to intrude our garden, after the dog was gone. I love them as well, but dogs are different.

Sorry to hear about Hannah. It's never easy to say goodbye. We've lost two of ours in the last few years, both of whom were my bench companions and I still miss them.

Sorry to hear. A tough decision to make certainly. I mentioned my Mother's dog, Mikey in my last post. After 18 years Mom had to

make the same decision. Mikey was very ill and suffering. Relieving that suffering was a merciful choice and the only correct

course of action. I wish you the best in recovery from this sad event.

Guys appreciate the heart felt words while it was hard I was Thankful to God for letting me have her for the period of time that I did.I am driving some today and I can see in my mind her at my feet while watching TV looking over back going "scratch my ass daddy" she had such a beautiful personality/disposition.It's no more when I am icing a scotch when she is to the right she launches(get fingers clear) for that ice cube  and when on the L/side I could drop it in her mouth.Hannah use to like licking my hair at night if I had to much gel or hairspray she go " let me fix that daddy!" and start licking my hair and ear till I say "That's Good" which for everything met enough and she stop.

My wife wants to get a smaller dog I want another Cur.Well she's been looking all day and she came out to the shop to show me a pic of a Cur male that belongs to one of the members at the Local TV station I said"got to be a female".The wife comments that's not the reason I am showing you this everywhere I look Curs keep popping up "maybe it's God's way of telling get a Cur?"

This is such a weird coincidence. We just returned from a walk. And Pip has found a playmate, a black mouth cur. His buddy was twice of his size, but super kind and gentle. Pip gets constantly nipped and humped by another dogs, often smaller. It was a nice change to see them play without anxiety, just being dogs.
