Group build starts Wed March 2, 2022 at 6pm CST and ends July 1, 2022 at midnight.  If member participation warrants it, we will look at extending the GB by 60 days to a full 6 month.

GB is open to any kit produced by a Ukrainian model manufacturer, regardless of color scheme.   Showcase Ukrainian model manufacturers, there are plenty to choose from.
GB is also open to all Ukrainian badged aircraft or armor in use by the Ukrainian Military after the Wall came down.

1/48 or larger, although we will consider making a case by case exception to LARGE airframes in 1/72, such as the various Antonov products. Antonov civilian aircraft upon approval as well

25% started is OK, but if you’re unsure, ask me.  I’m pretty lenient, but if all it needs is decals, I may say no.

Start your own build thread here and update it regularly.
Keep it civil, we’re all adults. ABSOLUTELY NO POLITICS please. We all know feelings run deep. No spamming, or any other obvious stupid stuff.  All other normal GB rules apply.

Finished builds will be posted in a special RFI, and an award of a suitable new kit will be awarded to a randomly drawn name of all members who finished a model in the GB.

But most of all, HAVE FUN.

Try to keep it Ukrainian subjects, unless it’s a Ukrainian kit.  😀. I really don’t want to be glorifying the criminals here.

So is it « All things Ukrainian GB », in which case the title and banner should be amended, or still « aircraft and armor from Ukraine » ?

Well, I will enterthis GB at least with this Fokker DVII "F" Ukrainien Galician Army, September 1919

Not an actual modern airplane or AFV but Its an ukrainian scheme and every profit from this Aviattic sheet will be to charities aiding refugees fleeing the outrageous invasion of Ukraine and the violence inflicted by the Putin regime.

Those look fantastic, Fran. How I regret not picking up the F re-boxing when I had a chance.

I enter this competition with my Mig-29C 1/32 Trumpeter. After I finished the cockpit 3 years ago, the kit was put aside. But this is a good time to finish it with Ukranian decals.

Hi Ernie - Any chance of a list of Ukrainian model manufacturers?  I know a couple, but having a list might be helpful.

Well, off the top of my head, ICM, Amodel, Modelsvit, Roden, Miniart to name a few, plus a boatload of AM makers such as ResKit, etc

I just found this GB, I'm trying to find some suitable projects. While browsing the Scalemates I found the "Brands" section, filtering by country "Ukraine" I get 122 results, that is quite a lot. Some companies have only a few items, but some have long lists of products.

I had started this one in 2018, but stopped (Miniart discontinued the original kit) until Miniart, with their stellar customer service, sent me the upgraded parts from their retooled release.  Unfortunately I didn’t see this GB until today, and two other Miniart builds I’m doing are for another contest, but this would be an excuse for me to a. Join my first Group Build here; and b. build another great Miniart kit.

This won’t count, but for anyone interested in the Miniart Panzer III Ausf. B-get the newer one with the crew members-great kit.

Now off to the stash to see what I have that will fit the bill!

I hope you’ll do the extension for this GB as I’ve been doing *some* work on my Flanker Estate but have been struggling to find the time to show any meaningful progress yet.

We’ve given it till Sept 10 to wrap it all up, so everyone had another week and a half. Myself included. Even though I’m just doing it “because”.
