Terrific progress and you're already into paint. Nice work on the deteriorating fabric.

Thank you Peter. This build is going a bit faster than I anticipated but that's okay! LOL :)

Looking good and so different. Going to be a standout among your other Corsairs.

Very nice - and typical fast - work John.  That paint scheme looks really cool!

Can I ask what paint you used to paint the propeller?  I'm not sure if it's the lighting or anything, but I like the effect you got on it.  Thanks!

Thanks Mike. I used a mix of Mr. Color flat black and flat white. Black with a little white mixed in to give a sort of faded black look. I call it "scale black". Works with enamels also. (Pactra used to market Scale Black years ago.) :)

Making some good progress on the F4U. Still have a lot of detailing and weathering to do but it's coming right along! :)

John

Nice work on the deteriorated and ripped fabric. Love the way the fabric droops into the ripped, rotted openings. She surely is looking mighty neglected.

Thank you Peter. I tried hard not to overdo it and still keep it looking "real" as shown in the accompanying photo of the real a/c.  I hope to have it finished later today or maybe tomorrow. :)
