Calling this one done. Additions to the model were:

Vector resin cockpit, FineMolds belts, replacement prop and wheels from stash of leftover parts, Master Model brass cannons, exhausts from my stash. All markings (decals) are from my decal stash. Painted with Colourcoats and MM. Thanks go to Rockie Yarwood for the kit! I hope y'all like the results of my efforts! :)

Thanks to Jeff I see that this a/c was in 268 Squadron.

John,  Beautifully done!  Very nice lines on the camo as well.  Beautifully feathered.  You must have a massive stash of parts!!  Another work of art, well done.

Thanks Chris. I'm happy you like it. Yep, I have a heck of a lot of left over and spare parts, pieces and decals as a result of over 50 years of modelling. :)

Nice! Once again John..... A superb finished model done quickly! John, I don't know

big your stash is but I think you're going to run out of Mustangs! Please, as a

favor, build a Brewster Buffalo..... Now That would be cool!

Thanks Paul. I built a Tamiya 1/48 one YEARS ago and modified it to a -3. I agree that a 1/32 one would be cool and a bit different. I'll have to check around and see what's available, etc. :)

She's a beauty, John! Glad I could help out - and you have inspired me to take a look at building one of mine...

Cheers,  Rockie

Thanks Rockie. I think it turned out pretty well. If you do decide to build one I'd recommend getting a Vector cockpit set. I got mine here:

https://www.ultracast.ca/searchresults.asp?Search=Vector+1%2F32+P-51&Submit=

Not cheap but it is the best price I could find and WAY better than on ebay. :)
