JohnB Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Yep, another Corsair. Interesting name too! LOL The interior Salmon Pink and Dull Dk. Green now applied. I think, guys, it's not so much the subject as it is the enjoyment of the build although the subject is also important. That's why I build so many Corsairs. 11
Peterpools Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 John Absolutely you are the King of Corsair builds and you're off and running - looking good with the Salmon Pink and Dull Dark green on the parts. Completely agree why you love building Tamiya Corsairs. 1

Peterpools Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 John Absolutely! I wonder if they might be cheaper by the dozen. 😉 1
BlrwestSiR Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Always great to watch you work your magic on a Corsair. I'm up to 12 Spitfires so a long want to catch up to you. 3

Bill_S Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Great job, John! I think your next Corsair build should be with a blindfold. 2 3

JohnB Posted August 4, 2023 Author Posted August 4, 2023 I've decided to do a different Corsair instead of "Tojo Eats S**t". Not particularly happy with the Tojo name and the very heavy weathering needed plus I haven't done "Bubbles" yet so I'll do that one. 2
Peterpools Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 John Nice steady, meticulous progress as always. Change of name ... no biggie as it's always your call. 1
JohnB Posted August 7, 2023 Author Posted August 7, 2023 Making progress on painting and prep for weathering. Waiting for some .03 wide masking strips for the wing walks coming from SB. 5
Peterpools Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 John Nice progress on the paint work - flawlessly done. 2
JohnB Posted August 8, 2023 Author Posted August 8, 2023 Walkway masking and over painting done. I plan to do some weathering/wear a little later. 7
Peterpools Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 John Progress as always 👍 Masking looks good and saves a lot of time decaling these areas, not to mention they do look better painted. 1

I used to always use decals for that but decided to take a different approach this time. I think it worked out okay too Peter. 1
