I’ve done that. Just don’t toss it. Especially the decals etc. with your skills I know you can beat it into submission. And watch a few episodes of SkyKing. That will keep the juices flowing a little bit. I thought you were doing a fabulous job. As I said before, the true art of modelling. Your desire and excitement gets killed by poorly engineered kit with just way too many issues and obstacles clouding the enjoyment of the build itself. Sometimes it´s better to lean back, relax, have your choice of drug to let your mind freely wander for a while and if you are lucky, there is a re-juicer kit on the horizon. It´s a hobby and meant to be fun. Sometimes the hardest builds are the most rewarding, but there is a certain degree of frustration, where it´s best to step back and let some steam off. Maybe as others have said, let the kit sit for a while, and then come back and force it to submit to your great modeling skills. You might end up with a lot of satisfaction at the end turning a not-so-good kit into a fantastic model. Peterpools Posted March 4 Author Share Posted March 4 Guys I've read all of the comments and posts, sat back, thought about it and decided for the time being not to bin the Songbird but for the foreseeable future, she will reside on the SOD. Being 76, time isn't on my side and spending it banging my head against the wall and not enjoy what I'm doing just makes no sense at all. My wife and I seem to spend more of our time each week on doctor appointments and procedures and when home, I need to enjoy my time at the bench to relax and de-stress. I decided to pick up my original planned build for the GB: Tamiya's 1/48 F-14A, mostly OOB with some upgrades and enjoy myself. I've spent the last day making some nice headway and zero aggravation. Update hopefully in a few days. Our cable service for the court was out for from Saturday evening until Sunday night, so nothing like putting that time to good use.
