Saw this last night, really good.

I remember reading a book which was written by one of the survivors, Parrado. Absolutely terrifying and a true testament to human survival in the bleakest circumstances.

Yes they did munch on all kinds of available digestibles  :)

Preferred the original Cannibal Holocaust , that is a real class film 🤮

Common guys you can't miss this :)

It's good but I preferred the original film. Always fun to see Hugh Grant in his natural state playing a scumbag.

Has anyone watched Blue Eye Samurai yet?

It's a great series and don't let it being animated deter you. They've done an amazing job with the story and the animation is stunning.

For me - flims . .

Patton ...1970 ...Seven Oscars ....read em & weep . Outstanding portrayal of an outstanding Warrior ....and probably George C Scotts finest performance for which he refused the Oscar .

-We need a similar film of stature about V/Adm Ching Lee , probably the finest navel commander of his generation.  Criminal that there isn't .

English Patient 1996 Nine Oscars, remarkable story, outstanding cinematography and KST naked .....ahhh .

Throw in the Damsbusters for good measure / nostalgia / feeling good to be English once.

Job jobbed. All good . 👍

Non war film  - Apollo 13 , for the sheer huge brassy b@lls of that crew. Gene Kranz , outstanding man!

You mention Apollo 13, I happen to have met Jim lovell and his son while

working at Lake Forest Hospital back in the '90s.

Outstanding , one of a breed of men sadly in short supply these days . Born same year as my father , 1928 a good vintage.

I've watched episode 1 and, while I usually love Guy Ritchie films, it's leaving me tad MEH so far.

Well it's a mini series, introduction was slow. I'm at the episode 4. Even though it was fairly flat, perhaps uneventful, I am still excited about the next one.

A bit old now but this Japanese film I enjoyed a lot , paints Yamamoto as being driven into war by internal political forces against his better judgement  . One can argue the veracity or enjoy the action

Comments note not available in the states??Looks promising;)
