It’s a hefty price tag, but it is also a very big model. HOWEVER, for the price tag, I hope that Lukgraph will ensure to provide a way for keeping the wings rigid and straight - besides the obvious need to have a rigging that effectively contributes to the rigidity of the wings’ bay - as well as strong struts and undercarriage. 3D-printed resin is not necessarily strong enough to last more than a few days if the weight escalates … i was a bit miffed by the solid - and therefore heavy - top wing of the Potez 25. I spent significant efforts to make sure the heavy finished kit would keep straight wings, and stand on its landing gear, not only for a few weeks, but for many years … Hubert 5

Martinnfb Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Nothing wrong with the scale, there were many discussions about the raising popularity of the 1/35. Causing a clash of opinions in the community, let us not be like that. He-111 is definitely a subject I am really excited about and Border created some real gems in the form of 190 etc. . I am just hoping that the photographs are of the pre-production version and they will correct that.

The scale allows using the many available kits and figures to create dioramas with their kits, although such a diorama with their He111 would have to be enormous! The answer is just buy or not buy what you want.Anyway. I noticed the "oil canning" effect in some of the pictures......Does anyone else think that it looks a little overdone considering the scale? (Just my opinion) 😁 2

I don't like the "perfect world" approach of smooth and shiny unless it's an accurate depiction. Which I have never seen in a WW2 aircraft. They all have lumps and bumps. The raised rivets are an issue. Hopefully that gets addressed. I'm not a 111 expert by any means but it looks wrong. 2 1

Bomber_County Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Hats off to Border in committing to a twin in this scale. I have both their Spitfire Vb and FW190 in the stash. That would make one hell of a diorama, He111 plus visiting Fw190 and captured / abandoned Spit Vb plus ancillary vehicles ….. 2 1

I think the bare plastic of the parts may be exaggerating the effect. 2

It's pretty apparent in the under wing shot posted above. It's what my dad would refer to as a "walnut" when he was commenting on cars that were beat up, or improperly prepped for paint. 1

Lusitanian Posted Monday at 07:32 AM Posted Monday at 07:32 AM Besides being ridiculously huge (how big is your house?), and yet another "standard" scale (not sure what's wrong with 1/32 for aircraft), that 1/35 He111 looks silly. I wouldn't strap on an airplane that was that wrinkled with the intent to fly it. A museum piece that's 80+ years old might look like that, but not a newly built in-service airplane. 3
