Some new old Tamiya F1 kits from Plaza Japan. From time to time there appear some old stock Tamiya kits on their site for a higher price, than the normal Tamiya kits, but less than with scalpers on other places.
The boxes were a tiny bit yellowed, as were the protective papers on the decals. Decal sheets look absolutely fresh, though. There must have been heavy smokers in a Japanese warehouse, but this will be gone, when sprayed with the accordingly bought Number Five colors.
For the Ferrari, I bought an extra decal sheet, because the booboo brand decals are missing with Tamiya. I also added a Studio 27 set of carbon fiber decals.
The Ferrari was sold out very fast, but the Wolf WR1 is still available.

Some items....

First, yet another classic kit from Hasegawa. This time their 1/32 P-26A "Peashooter". An EBAY purchase this kit

Is an 80's or 90's boxing......inside the box the kit parts and decals are still sealed in their bag while the instructions

are a little yellowed. Otherwise the kit is perfect. The decals look fine, but just in case I found a set of Yellow-Wings

32-033 Boeing P-26, 1934-35 17th Pursuit Group 73rd Pursuit Squadron decals in 1/32  on Sprue Brothers.

I also bought a couple of 1/32 PE seatbelt sets by Eduard: (32604) Seatbelts USAF & USN WWII early, and (32504)

Seatbelts IJA.

I love B 17's. My favorite of the "Heavies". Missed this first go around, but Eduard saw the sales and added more. So I picked it up on sale from Sprue Bros last weekend.

And some more 1/72 109's cause I am having so much fun with them. Really nice little kits.

Edward asked to go to the LHS. He needed diorama supplies for a school project. So while he was getting those, I picked up supplies for myself.

I'm curious about the Mixing Colors and how to use them. Will need to do some research.

Couldn't resist a Gundam with a big gun.

Lastly I had a decal sheet arrive from Victory Models. It ts OOP from Speed Hunter so I'm glad to have found a copy.

Don´t you feel bad, Carl, using your son as an alibi? :D

What do you mean by mixing colors? The LP colors are mostly great, but some have a bad color coverage.

If it's convenient and keeps me out of trouble, that works for me.

Tamiya has them labeled as Mixing Yellow, Mixing Red and Mixing Blue. I think they may have more pigment in them or just straight pigment and not a mix. I wonder if this is another of their products showing up before instructions on how to use them.

I think I mentioned this before on one of the other Hasegawa inter-war 1/32 sets, but Lone Star makes a good cockpit set (the kit's set is bare, to say the least) and you can get a Vector engine for it.  Starfighter also makes a colorful set of different markings, but is a little tricky to find.  I have two of these in the stash that I hope to get to at some point with the YW Kicking Mules set  (#32-035) and the Starfighter set (#3201).

If you end up building this, maybe I'll pull mine out and build them alongside yours since you'll inspire me :)

Thanks, I bought a few items for these kits, some Gaspatch mgs for the P 12e, airscale instrument decals and some stainless .2mm straight

wire for the rigging....the peashooter had tons of wire bracing!!. I have some Yellow-Wings decals and I plan to buy some more. I haven't

seen the LoneStar stuff for sale anywhere....but I'm looking. I may do some basic scratch building to make the cockpits look a little better.

I'm looking at the ANYZ stuff...really cool stuff there!

Did you order that stainless wire from that Amazon link?  I used cut down stainless steel insect pins for the rigging on my JRS-1, but they aren't very long so I need a source for longer steel rods/wire.

For Lone Star, I think it's best if you keep an eye on his Facebook page.  I'll send you a PM shortly.

Yes, the link is where I got it from. I think I might order some .3 mm this week. Thanks for the PM.

A Plaza Japan order arrived......

First, from Hasegawa, their Kawasaki Ki61 HIEN (08078) in 1/32. Looks like a nice

kit. Also got a set of Eduard mask set for this kit (EDUJX067)

From Tamiya, their  Japan Ground Self Defense Force Light Armored Vehicle Iraq Humanitarian Assistance Unit. (35275) in 1/35.

This boxing has been hard to find.

Also, two older Tamiya releases; their S.A.S. LAND ROVER PINK PANTHER (35076) and their BRITISH SPECIAL AIR SERVICE

JEEP (35033) I got a Quinta Studios set for the Pink Panther kit (QTSQD35087).

I also got a hard wire cutter off Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QHKRM8G?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titl

A set of STAR DECALS : EARLY I.D.F. MARKINGS SHERMANS and otherTANKS in 1948-49 (35-C1428) in 1/35.

Not shown is a quantity of hard straight .2mm stainless wire lengths purchased from Amazon. I intend

to use these for rigging wires.
