Hi everyone,

I know the picture isn't the best.  But Russian patriotic tank slogans interest me currently.  Anybody wanna take a shot:

Maybe the ppl at the Kalinin factory donated money for the tank and got that painted on it.  Lots of those patriotic slogans were statements of donation to pay for the tank.

I believe it is in honour of somebody who's name was Kalinin, there are three letter in between, maybe four that can be the first name.

"Имени _И Калинина / In _I Kalinin's name".
What Martin wrote, rather an individual than an organisation.

I can't decipher the first of the two letters in the middle. Most likely being the initials of the first and patronymic name.

M.I. Kalinin was a Russian revolutionary hero.  The former city of Konigsberg was renamed in his honor.  Pardon my lack of umlaut...  forgot how to type it.

Hah, hah!  Cheeky!

Thanks for the translation!  It is a bit more personal than the usual "For Stalin", or "Za Rodina".
