All done on this one. I haven't added the stretched sprue antennas yet as I'm sure I would break them while taking photos. The side numbers, 155, and tail numbers, 15P, are from masks custom made for me by TopNotch Model Masks. National insignias are from Yellow Wings decals. Painted with Model Master OD and Neutral Gray. I added the correct pitot tube as the one in the kit is wrong. I had come to a screeching halt on this build when I screwed up the windscreen/armored glass attachment. Thankfully the folks at Trumpeter sent me a replacement clear sprue so I could finally finish up. I decided to model Taylor's a/c instead of Welch's. I hope y'all like it! :)

Very nicely done, John!  I like your subtle chipping.

Thanks Gaz. I figure at that point in time the a/c weren't showing a lot of wear, etc so I decided to go subtle on this build. A little paint wear and some exhaust stains only. :)

Good to see this one done after the windscreen incident. Nice painting and subtle weathering on this one and a great job with the code and decals.

Cheers Rob

Very nice, John!  This kit takes a lot of flak but builds up into a good looking P-40.

Thanks Mike. I agree, it does build up just fine with no real problems. :)

Thank you Rob. I can recommend Top Notch for masks. He did a great job at a reasonable price.
