Sir Desmond Glazebrook Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 This thread is facetious. Have fun. Look at this fetching beast! 1
IainMackayDall Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 I thought the Short Seamew was a contender, that or the caproni-stipa flying barrel. But this one gets my vote.. another Shorts build from the UK. The Short Sturgeon S.B.3 1

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted December 2, 2019 Administrators Posted December 2, 2019 Sorry, Hubert, but it isn’t always the British, my friend. 3
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted December 2, 2019 Administrators Posted December 2, 2019 And I never really understood the idea behind this abomination 3
IainMackayDall Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 How about these, Boeing has excelled here with the nose. The Farman Jabiru has both looks and name to match. But back to Boeing. I still maintain if they had given the X-32 a more aggressive look, they could have won theat contract 2

The center engine on the Farman is blanked by.......... the entire aircraft. I expect it's sole purose in life was to disturb the airflow just enough to allow the outrigger props to lose 80% of their efficiency. That and to ensure the interior was a noisy as possible. And the X-32, what can be said other that it got the last laugh. It'll live in cartoon drawings for all eternity. 3
