  1. Thanks it's been great fun using all my new skills learned here.
  2. Yea from all the BF110 combat videos I've seen on YouTube I'm sure I wouldn't want to be in front of one!!!
  3. Really enjoyed using all the ideas from my Long Wire Antenna post to complete the antenna on the BF110. Super Glue insulators painted black look fantastic!
  4. Installing the wings and landing gear!
  5. Putting my new found masking skills to work on the BF110 greenhouse canopy! Last build using spray can technology! Completed canopy.
  6. As posted above using dry brushing, washes and HO train decals really added to detailing the BF110 engines. Completed engines.
  7. LOL I'll watch my pressures :-)
  8. I've been to San Diego several times for work and have really enjoyed the area and you can't fault their weather! Love the Von's Grocery stores with their best chicken salad sandwiches ever, lol! Good luck on your move. Ralph.
  9. Finally got around to adding the correct parts to my shop air compressor so I can airbrush! Added a adjustable pressure regulator, air/water filter and hose assembly to my layout bench. Even found a airbrush stand, lol! Complete setup including stand at Harbor Freight for $32.20!
  10. Guy where is this at? I know Hamilton has the Lancaster along with Windsor! Ralph
  11. After reading all the kind advice given on this tread and a few other sources via the internet I had pretty good success with the bead hobby thread my wife gave me. I used black painted super glue drops as insulators. I'm pleased with the results on the BF110!
  12. I'm buying the parts today to modify my shop compressor to airbrush. I'm going to install a low pressure module on my work table so I can make all connections there leaving my compressor in a remote location. I have also order a Neo Airbrush via eBay so looking forward to entering the fantastic world of airbrushing!! Panel lines here I come, lol!!! Ralph
  13. I just bought this same JU88 kits via Hobbytown and a JU88C-2 nose conversion kit via eBay for the group build. I'm building the nightfighter R4+HH. I will follow your posts with interest. Ralph.
  14. You can clearly see in this photo the poor fit of the nose cone. Holes for the four 7.6MM machine guns were pre-drilled however the two 40MM cannon were sealed. The four 7.6MM machine guns were very unrealistic! I decided to use a few new skill sets learned on the forum and bought brass tubing at Hobbytown to emulate the barrel size of the 7.6MM and 40MM guns. I cut the brass tubing to size with my Dremel, drilled the 40MM holes open and glued the barrels in place using super glue. Then using lots of putty to fix the ill fitting nose sections I was able to join to the fuselage.
  15. Okay I think I have figured out all the Photo Bucket/laptop technology and now can post pictures, lol!! So here goes!! I purchased this Revell History Makers BF 110C-4B kit via eBay bid for $19.95!! Great deal I thought! The kit was unopened and in new condition with all the pieces in factory sealed plastic bags. Overall the kits fit was pretty good with the exception of the engine nacelles and nose cone!
  16. still trying to post pictures from photobucket!
  17. Wow Guy great work. Got my laptop back today so should be able to post BF 110 build pictures today.
  18. While looking around on ebay today I came across Panel Line Pens. To use panel line pens or not to use panel line pens, that is the question! What say you, lol?
  19. Sounds good James. I'm really pleased with the outcome of the the long wire antenna. I used all the suggestion I recieved and several I found on other sites. I believe my skill set improved with this build and I look forward to the Ju 88 night fighter I'm going to do for the group build. I need to find a source for a nose conversion and nose antenna arials.
  20. Sorry for the delay in further build updates. My laptop is still in repair hopefully finished this week plus on Thursday I had my gallbladder removed. I have managed to complete the build using all the new skills learned here since I'm retired and have lots of time :-) so new pictures soon.
  21. All I can say is amazing craftmenship. We're all in the stone age compared to your skill set!
  22. Looking really good. Like your use of brass tubing for machine guns. Used the same for my BF110 build using different size tube to emulate 7.9 and 20MM. I think I got close to the correct scale size and it looks really sharp in my humble opinion.
  23. Yes sorry Doogs but I can't see myself stretch spruce!! Interesting about making insulators from Elmers glue. How is that done??
