  1. An oldie but a goodie. I like the way you choose your subjects Ralph. Cees
  2. Mine is in a box in a dark corner of the loft. The Airfix Tiffy gets all the attention at the moment. Cees
  3. Not bad for an ancient kit. Ceed
  4. Remember Tamiya in the seventies? The Lancaster, Always described as an überkit turns out to be not so good but these days they still churn it out at today's prices. Trumpeter and Airfrix might well set the pace in the near future. Then again, some manufactures always get slaughtered by the not so happy few. What's the use. Cees
  5. Erik, I think it's what I mentioned to you. When researching my cockpit projects I could have ordered off this colour off the shelf in the UK. Plenty of those getting rebuild. Problem was that is very expensive. So I looked for an alternative. I had an original part from a Halifax crash with the interior colour still in good nick. I took off a small layer off the top and there was a very good sample. It was lighter and greener than what is taken as gospel. My Halifax cockpit looks lighter and greener as a result. When we recovered a Wellington wreck some years ago we found three variants of this colour. Herman ( you know) did not believe me. We also have wooden bits from a beaufighter that looks very much lighter. Pity Edgar pulled out of the forum community. Cees
  6. Great subject, when did you decide to throw that curveball? Though the Meteor was up hehe. Looking forward to see your magic being done. Cees
  7. Must get me one of these sets too. Cees

  9. That pe is unbelievable. Cees
  10. If that is the result of your hamfists then who knows what one will look like with your peachy hands. Finish looks fantastic Jeroen. Cheers Cees
  11. Aires is the god of war too? Anyway, this one is toast for now. Got something more interesting. Cees
  12. Tom, Bring the Halifax so I can drool all over it. Cees
  13. No, Revell. But could be my clumsyness. Cees
  14. Good work. I picked up the motivation to continue this kit, even though it sucks every Kind of pleasure out of me. The fuse is closed, the wings and tailplanes are on. Warning, I cut away the web beneath the carburettor intake in an attempt to make the bulged belly flatter. This made the wings drop and losing the dihedral. So setting the dihedral again with tape is important. Pics whenI feel like taking them. Cees
  15. Check the cockpit frames for warping. The instrumentpanel frame did not fit ( too wide) Cees
  16. What a fantastic review, all you wanted to know but were afraid to ask. What a great kit, Hmmmm.... Cheers Cees
  17. Ben, It is always difficult to get a good fit with such sets. The brass tube you use will give strenght to enable you to make a good joint. Cees
  18. Hope you do better than me. Nearly flung the kit against a wall. Jim stopped me. Will try again this evening. Continuing the kit, not against the wall........however..... Cees
  19. It was heavy work but fun. That Vulture surely looks very complete. One of the few left. Cees
  20. Wow, very nice, I am tempted again. Will certainly get it. Cees
  21. Hi Gonzo, No the instrument panel has been corrected. The Eduard set is very nice though and I will use it. Cees
  22. Frank, That looks great. Gr Cees
