  1. Question: I am working on the MDC rocket set for the Beau but most launchrails are badly warped. Any idea how to save these? Cees
  2. Looking great. Would be nice to wake up, sit down and getting dressed with a brush cees
  3. Ralph, Even months later you can wipe away or adjust the wash. I love it. Cees
  4. Jeroen, Before closing everything up you must have figured it out how to mount it. The Point of fixation must be sturdy enough to take the weight. Even though it is not that heavy. Cees
  5. Update, The Beau is progressing nicely. Today I fitted the undercarriage and doors. I like the way the doors just clip into place. Not bad for a seventies vintage kit. Next some more Flory washes to taste. I desperately need some Hamilton Standard type propbosses as used on the Hellcat And Corsair. Any leads on those? Cheers Cees
  6. Kicking the habit of adding too much detail isn't it. Cheers Cees
  7. It was a gruelling match, but a fantastic one. Cees
  8. Well, now you have. Congrats all of you. Ceed
  9. That's the fun part, seing the model grow. Looking good Jeroen. Cees
  10. As this topic obviously is about discussing completed builds it would fit better in the modelling discussion section. Cheers Cees
  11. Noticed somewhere saying around July 21st. Cees
  12. Very nice build John. Not an original answer........ Cheers Cees
  13. Question: why do you fit the engines instead of putting them in your sparesbox? Cees
  14. Ralph, Yes, that's all. Easy. Just to point out the canopy in the pic is just set in place. It's very flexible. When pressed down it fits great. Cees
  15. When I got home from work a nice little package awaited me sent by Derek Bradshaw and Peter from Airscale. A nice canopy set beau.tifully ( heheh) crafted by Peter. The front fits perfectly and it looks great complete with interior detail. Nothing prevents me from displaying the escape hatch open. The dorsal canopy is the early version and not applicable to the TF X. It wil need some major surgery to fit but it looks great. To celebrate I smothered the Beau in Flory washes rendering it temporarily not so beau. Thanks chaps, Much appreciated. Cheers Cees
  16. Thanks, but the black was masked off. But by brushing the black from the edge towards the middle the ragged edges evolved. Due to scale the edges must not be too rough. Cees
  17. Rog, You really need to have your own topic. Cees
  18. Applause!!!!! Wonderful built Ralph. Cheers Cees
  19. Regarding the Dornier 335, pilot's lost both arms. This is not a joke. The levers to release the canopy are on the canopy themselves. The release was so rapid the pilot's could not let the levers go in time. Terrible tale. Cees
  20. Sawing off the cannon fairings, i like that. Need some milliput Jeroen? Cees
  21. What Ralph said. Cees
  22. Fantastic scheme. Looking forward how it evolves. Cees
  23. Update I tried to represent the red doped cannon ports with a brush, somehow the acryl reacted with the clear gloss coat causing it to give a rough cracked effect. Exactly what I was after. It really looks doubed over in the field. Also a pic showing the invasion stripes and the red/ yellow codes. Quite colourful I think. Cheers Cees
  24. Good point. Nick, you started a very nice topic over on LSP, care to start it here too? Cees
