  1. Great work Gary! Can you post a picture how the final result of Dunkelbraun over Dunkelgrau should look like in the end?
  2. That is very interesting Gary. Can you describe what are the main differences? I never build airbrushed an armor model so far.
  3. When I remember how difficult the painting of your 190 was and how it came out this should be kein Problem for you Gary!
  4. Priming finished now. Everything ok for further painting: The rudder is already painted white. Will get a decal on with red diagonal stripes. Next step is to polish the primer for the preshading. But this will be done tomorrow. Should dry overnight.
  5. Simply amazing, stunning and beautiful! Perfect painting and weathering! Love it!
  6. 12 points out of 10 possible! Nothing more to add!
  7. Great build so far Gary! This is really big! The chains came out looking awesome! Curious how it will look like with paint on it!
  8. Still a way to go Hubert and Gary. This evening I will prime the reworked tailcone area again: and if this is ok, I will start with the painting of the undersides.
  9. Great build Jerry! The red ring around the nose is an eyecatcher! Have never seen a Hellcat in British camouflage! Very nice!
  10. Had to do another rework after the second priming which I did for checking if the reworks after first priming were ok. The tail cone needed some additional surgery. So I will prime it again tomorrow to see if it’s ok now and then I start with the painting process on the underside.
  11. Stunning glossy finish. This looks even better than the real thing! Can‘t wait to see it completed!
  12. You are right Gary, but the filling of a gap with black CA is easier, because you can clearly see where you applied it.
  13. Great stuff, great problem solution and perfect instructions how to do it! You should write a modeling tipps and tricks guide, Gary! The black CA is really a helpful invention for us modelers!
  14. Copy all: Great looking Spitfire and awesome interior!
  15. Copy Harv! Glad to hear that you regained health again! Great looking P-47 you have build! Especially the blue ring around the nose makes it an eyecatcher!
  16. My first model (a Morane Saulnier N in 1/72 from Revell, which I build when I was 7 years old back in 1968) was full of glue and not painted. Never would think that this is someone’s first model, if someone showed me this picture! Really nice! It took me years to reach that level…
  17. Ideal regarding center of gravity…
  18. That’s what it’s all about Kev. I love this site because of all the first class modelers sharing their techniques and tricks. Thanks for your feedback! We will see…
  19. Great to hear! Can you show us here some pics of your first finished model?
  20. Great progress and a huge amount of work Peter. You really managed to overcome all the challenges offered by the kit. It reminds me of something I actually have in my hands. On the fotos I can clearly see what is waiting for you with all these nose-cowlings. Reminds me of my air intakes. Can‘t understand what the designers think when creating a model and its parts breakdown. Maybe it were the same who created the Italeri Mirage III… The KH Mirage 2000 seems to be much better. Why can’t they define quality standards like e.g. Tamiya? Would make life so much easier for us modelers… But against all odds your model starts to look like a P-39 and it will be awesome in the end. Cockpit and exhausts look really beautiful! Cheers Kai
  21. Kev, you can also reserve a place for me in the first row I have exactly the same model in my stash and I‘m looking forward to seeing your postings here. This will make my build much easier.
  22. Incredible! The close-up fotos look like the real plane! The leather is stunning!
  23. Thanks Rob. Still some rework to do but the airbrush is ready…
