  1. Great progress Gus! She looks really awesome with all the Cheetah bits added! Now you have also managed all the challenges of the kit! Can‘t wait to see paint on her!
  2. Nice progress and beautiful build so far!
  3. Gary, my comrade in the right sense , To my personal opinion the weathering of the black and white looks absolutely realistic! Exactly the way I like it: subtle and not exaggerated! I think this will also be visible under a matte cote. Not far away from the finish-line, Gary! Maybe you already cross it on Thursday?
  4. I‘ve not seen it like that Gary! And it has been a long way but most of it gone now! Thanks for your compliment Rob! And now the fun-phase begins, you’re right!
  5. Wow Peter, great progress on the pilots‘ office! Lots of work put into it but the results are worth the effort you invested. The IP looks really beautiful as do the doors and their PE-detail. When the seat has its buckles and a little weathering is added this will become an awesome pit. Also really nice fotos and description of the assembly steps. Didn’t know up to now how really careful you have to be regarding which paint, glue and other things you want to use. But I think that your careful choice and other safety measures you took will reduce the risk for your health drastically. It‘s really good that you are back to the bench and join your builds with us. Can‘t wait to see the progress of your beautiful build! Like you always say: Keep em coming! Kai
  6. Great research and implementation for the engine! Your skills are stunning!
  7. Me too Mike! Never heard of a Ponnier Aircraft Factory before and great introduction from your side to the topic and the history of the aircraft!
  8. Thank both of you! Much appreciated! What about the progress of your models on the shelf Peter? Will er see an update soon? I‘m curious ...
  9. Landing gear completed today: Decals and weathering applied to all components. Nose landing gear: Main landing gear: And the actuators: Now I move on to the windshield and then priming starts!
  10. Welcome and I will follow your build too! Pocher was always the Rolls Royce of modeling-companies for me since it was impossible for me to buy one when I was young. Awesome models with real leather seats and metal parts...
  11. Copy that! Awesome work! Makes me want to build one too.
  12. Thanks for the additional tipp Gary! Normally I use oil’s only thinned heavily for panel lining. Here I wait 24 hours till I spray flat varnish. I didn’t know that until now!
  13. Thanks for this super tutorial Gaz. I can print this out and use it as an instruction! And at the end it is possible to seal everything with flat varnish?
  14. Great and subtle weathering with the oils Gaz! Looks really convincing! Can you describe what you do with the oil streaks on the surface? Is it thinned or plain? Which basic colors do you use for mixing? How do you apply it and how long does it have to dry? I want to give it a try. You also used this on your beautiful 190 didn‘t you?
  15. Thank you Gaz! You can’t get it in Germany. I bought mine in Swiss via Amazon.
  16. I said I would follow part 2 of your build and the wait was worth it: Awesome work on the support and all its details! You are the scratch-master!
  17. Stunning progress Frank! The work you did on the engine and the firewall is really awesome. Is the tube you used for the ignition harness Evergreen round profile? Curious how this will go on!
  18. Tonight I weathered the nose gear leg and painted the main gear legs and all actuators. The weathering was done with thinned oil-colors on Pledge-covered leg: The main landing gear legs and all hydraulic actuators were painted and received a cote of Pledge to prepare them for the weathering: The hydraulic cylinders: And here altogether: Tomorrow all the remaining parts will receive weathering and then I‘ll move to the painting of the aircraft.
  19. Looks like the real thing Mark! Stunning model!
  20. Thanks Peter, every step now brings me close to the painting...
  21. Great looking Spitfire! Love the nose art! The modulation in the camo-colors is spot on! Maybe you should move your post from the WNW-section to the aircraft finished section to where it belongs.
  22. Thank you Harv and I hope so... Thanks Gaz! Today they will get their paint. Thank you Rob! These were the last gems. Now it comes to the nice part of the build: painting! Thank you for your nice feedback Gus! I‘m closely following your Cheetah E build. Will also become an awesome bird! Due to the conversion you even have more problems to solve than me!
